My Buddy's 47re acting up.
Truck: 2001, 2500, 4x4, automatic. 139k miles.
Here is what it's doing. After shift into drive, the rpm's go to 2500 before it will shift to 2nd. It doesnt matter how easy, or hard you are on the foot pedal either. Neither of us know much about automatic trannys, so I figure I would ask you guys.
He said that he had the tranny filter changed, and that helped for a little while, but now its acting up again.
Thanks!
Phillip

Check for codes...key on/off 3 times read odometer. Mine was shifting longer from 2 to 3 and 3 to overdrive and I threw a P0720 - output shaft sensor out of range. Replaced sensor (located on overdrive unit on back of tranny) and shifting problem went away.
