Muffler replacement

I was thinking of changing out my exhaust to MBRP 4". The tailpipe is already 4" and how much really would the down pipe benifit being 1/2" bigger. So what i'm asking is, has anybody just changed their muffler? If you have ,what did you use, and did it fit nicely with the rest of the stock exhaust?

The 52" Nelson on my 03 was great, with no drone under load. The price was right, from Cummins. I'm probably going with the 40" Nelson on the 05, as I'm leaving the cat on.

53, that's all good but they all have 06's with a cat. Mine is an 03 without cat. Just deleting the muffler will be too noisey.

MIke- I see you tow a trailer. Unless you like a drone that'll give you a headache, be careful which muffler you choose. My brother had a 30" magnaflow on his 03. It sounded fine until you were hauling up a hill. He has an 06 long box (with cat) and this time he put on the 52".
