muffler delete!!

I deleted my muffler, its great!!! My truck is a 2004, with 325hp motor, without a converter? I don't know what is going with that!! A friend has a 2004.5 with 325hp motor and converter. Another friend has a 2004 with a 305hp motor, no converter!! I love the new SOUND!! Not so bad cruising. Til you hit the throttle, look out !! Thanks Guys redneckonthenet

Buy your truck used??? Its not uncommon. It is a very nice sound, but I have since moved on to addressing the raspy tone. 3 yrs later I have evolved to dual mufflers with 6 " stacks, plenty of noise but its a tone unfamiliar to many. Down the road after kickin it on this site for awhile you'll find yourself doing the same thing.

What mufflers are you using rip? I just did stacks recently and still have the cat in place but no muffler. It sounds OK but I'm thinking of loosing the cat and replacing with a muffler.

To the OP '03 - '04 = no cat from factory. "04.5 - '07 = cat, '07.5 - up = cat dpf.

Yup, I've heard that before, especially when towing.

I deleted mine on my 2006 close to three years ago, nice deep tone, very tollerable sound when towing, it's going to stay that way for quite some time.

That sounds good. Here is a short clip of mine right after installing my stacks. This is with the cat, but no muffler.

That sounds good as well, nice got you some smoke! I'm gonna try and get another vid today with both the mufflers, it sounds great (I don't mind if it were a little louder, but the tone is excellent to me).
