How much trade difference for 02 to 03
I currently have an 02 Quad Cab 4x4 Cummins with 9k on it. It is fully loaded and in excellent condition, was wondering what everyone thought I should be able to trade for an 03 for. Also what do you guys think of the 03 over 02. Mine does not have very many miles as it sits in the garage and I drive my company vehicle most of the time and wonder if I should keep it. Let me know your opinions.
Thanks

You'll take a lickin on it. They will low ball you and then sell it for 5 to 10K more.
You would think you could go in and trade for 1 or 2 thousand. But it will be a huge difference. Probably anyway.

Agcntry, I know the feeling, I have an 02 and thought about trading but to be honest I like the 02 a little better. Remember that your 02 is the last of an 8 year body style run so think hard before you trade. Our trucks are proven, last of this motor also. The new ones run hotter and, may not mean anything but what you've got is sweet.
I think I'm going to keep mine for a long time. There is also lots of addons for our style.......
Good luck on your decision............Pete

Pete,
Thanks for the thoughts, I've thought about all that over and over. If I had my way we could combine some of the features of the 02 and 03 and have the truck we both want.
Thanks

Spots,
Thanks for letting me know it was here last week. I did a search and found it. Still trying to decide what to do. Test drove a long bed today, decided if I trade to stay with a short bed. Got the dealer down to 5k difference for a 03 HO 4x4 Quad SB fully loaded, which I didn't think was to bad. I just have to decide.

AGCNTRY,I know how you feel. I have an 02 Ram as well. I have a company truck like you, my RAM sits all week and then I use it on the weekends for long trips. I have 15k on mine. I went to my dealer just to "see" what he might be able to do. I loved the 4 regular doors and the ride quality. Right now I am leasing mine(only way I could afford one :) but will eventually buy it in the end. In order for me to get into a 03-04 I would have to put down more money and then my payments would go up a hundred more.( although I will probably end up paying 60k for a 30k truck :) SO it is not in the works for me right now. But my point is, he(my salesman) said to me "customers are always looking for a 2nd gen. Cummins. Esp. with low mileage on them." " I will keep you in mind" If they see an oppurtunity to make a deal he may work something out with you. You never know. I work in the automotive field and have seen some interesting things done. But like mymaur said you may take a hit.
I agree with Pete on our 02's. It is a tried and true truck. Last year of that engine and that body style which I am a sucker for. I plan on keping mine for a long time as well.
PS they are louder too
Good luck in your decision. I know it is not easy.
