i found a 89 dodge 250 for sale guy wants two grand for the truck it in good shape said that injection pump may be dieing is this a good deal. want it for a project truck

I bought a 93 w350 4wd with plow and 168,000 auto, recently for 2 grand, granted it needs work but runs/ drives to kind of give you a perspective.

Try throwing a grand at him and tell him its for parts because of the unknown inj prob.Worst he says is no.
Depends too on 2wd or 4wd, auto/man and how bad you want it. You MAY get lucky and find it just needs a fuel filt. or something simple.Depends on how much he knows about them. HE could be bluffing too and know its shot and trying to downplay to get a good buck for it. It is all just a game of poker, trying to read bluffs.
