how much horsepower and torque should i expect

Hi everyone, I put my 370's in last weekend, and i couldn't be any happier with my 12 valve, although, i'm taking it easy and driving it like a grandma, since i want my stock rebuilt tranny and torque converter to last another couple months before i'm ready to upgrade to a Goerend. From there i'm hoping to do some serious modding to hit some good 1/4 mile numbers. I'm anxious to find out how much hp and torque i'm putting out, and what kind of 1/4 mile times i can expect to run once i upgrade my torque converter to a Goerend based on the mods I've listed below, so i figure i'd get some suggestions from you guys. Both of my friends think I should be putting out around 400 hp, but then again, it feels like i should be putting on more based on the seat of the pants gauge. How much HP and torque should my 12 valve be putting out, and what 1/4 mile times should i be running? Thanks everyone

Several factors here are to be noted..

U have a 180 horse pump on ur truck, the advantage to that is simply the large 181 DV's that it has in It. I hate to burst ur bubble, but speakin from experience here is what i got

100 plate 2/3 forward +181 DV's + 16.5 degrees of timing + a stock 215 pump + 370 injectors = 347 rwhp

I have a pump 35 horses larger and i destroyed my clutch in the process... So my best guess is that with the 370s you picked up about maybe 40-50 horses at the most, with your 0 plate perhaps about 40-50 over stock on a conservative note. I would say that your HP and TQ at just a wild guess is 250-275 rwhp and about 550-600 rwtq... perhaps at best what a stock 99-01 d max would make... Far as 1/4 mile times go, i have no clue in all honesty..

The stock dodge trans (auto) IIRC will handle no more than about 80-100 horses over stock before it starts slippin away.... but i see that ull be takin care of that pretty soon

Good luck with the BOMBing...

With my 98, I had 191 DV's, a 0 plate, 17* timing, 370 EDM injectors, 4" exhaust, AFE Stage 2, and J.R. Adkins 55, and with no plate and a gutted AFC it put out 458, with a DD puller clutch. So you'd be surprised what you can put out.
