Well, only 4 people showed up to our meet-n-greet today, but I do have to say they were all to quality men. It was me, Steven B., DmaxEter, and NeedaRam. We are off to a slow, but good start. Like we tlked about in the meeting today guys, this will be our capter's "unofficial thread". Of course anyone is welcome to post, but there will be no flame wars started here. Any and all topics can be talked about. If anyone outside our chapter who wants to keep up with what we are doing and planning, this is where they need to be directed to. So post up.

I had a wonderful time just sitting around shooting the breeze with everybody. I thought it was a good start. Those coil spacers I picked up today turned out nice. Made the truck look a lot better sitting level. And the emloyee price was great to. Big thanks to Four Wheel Parts for letting us in and taking care of us today.
I know we said something about a meet in April, but no date and place were set. Do you know when you want to do this Streetsmoker? Maybe it wont fall during that whole wedding and hineymoon thing I got planned :o
Anyway, I had a great time and look forward to seeing all of you again soon.
Oh yea Streetsmoker. I was talking to my brother in law tonight and he said he found a yellow flyer on his windshield the other day about some meet for diesel trucks. I asked him why he didnt show up. Said he had to work or something lame like that. what a small world.

It's a little soon to get a date or anything set for April right now. I'm hoping that Mid South Diesel will be able to host a dyno day/meet-n-greet by then. If not, I'm thinking somewhere in Jackson, Tn would be a good place. If we have it there, guys from the Nashville area might show up.

A dyno day at mid south diesel would be awesome, we need to get to work on that. I had a good time hanging out with you fellas and it's always good to meet new people with some knowledge. I'll be lurking around, just let me know whats going on. [whistle]

Hey rad, you will notice that our new thread is somewhat similiar to a certin "other" clubs discussion thread [whistle]. Yea, I've been over to the MidTNTDR thread, and really liked the format they use and I'm trying to emulate it here. So spread the word for us over there.

I can't post there, just a visitor, but I have a friend who owns a Dodge/Cummins and, are you ready, love the suspense, a SPEED SHOP, Rocco and Cheeters, here in B'ham. Don't you just love those four words and how well they fit together, Dodge, Cummins, Speed shop.

Hi guys.
It was fun to meet at 4 Wheel Parts, and the discount was nice, as was the food and drink. Thanks to Elliot and crew for hosting us. They have a good looking, well stocked store, with friendly folks working there. I appreciate the helpful tech info/advice on the lighting.
As for Chapter 31, we need more members - the more, the merrier, as they say. John, you are off to a great start. Your enthusiasm will provide the numbers needed. Lets all "talk it up" with folks that we meet.
Mid-South can host a "meet and greet" or a dyno session. We just have to work out a time with Sam Rivera, our General Manager.
You three guys....your trucks are sharp!
See you at the next one!

Well, I'm over here in Hot Springs, AR and I was able to sign up 2 guys while standing in the parking lot at Superlift ORV Park unloading my Cherokee. I don't know if they will get on the site, but hopefully they will. Believe me this chapter is going to grow like gangbusters once the word gets around. Just wait till we get some members into power wars between each other. If you would guys, edit you signatures to reflect you membership in the chapter. That way it'll be like our own little posse running around here drumming up support with every post and thread.

I got the sig changed for you streetsmoker. I told a guy with a 3rd gen today about the site and chapter 31, he said he would check it out. I really should get some fliers or something from you to give to people. I'll check back in later.

Thanks guys. Hey Brad, you can get up with Patrick(DmaxEter). It would be easier to get some from him. He doesn't know it yet but I appointed him as Vice Pres. I gave him some flyers that were for the meeting and he said that he was going to edit them around and pass them out.
On a side note, I was driving around today, and what looked like a snobby rich kid was following behind me in a late model TA Ram Air. I guess he thought I wasn't driving fast enough and proceeded to blow by me on the left double line coming up an on ramp. The kid must have figured I was some farmer Fred puttin around. I turned the Juice up to 5 and let him get right to the door before laying the "Hammer of Thor down to the floor" [coffee] . Poor guy didn't know what hit him :o . He must have got Edit, cause after I left his Edit he tried it again with the same result. Needless to say he got the hint and backed way off. Too bad he wasn't on the right side cause then I could have "SMOKED" him properley. Oh well, guess I need duals now. [laugh]

I didn't get a look at his face either, I was too busy pulling away from him [laugh]. Anyhow, hey Tim you have to show me that trick of parsing this thread link in my sig. also. This discussion thread is working like a charm. I need to get with Sam at Mid South about that dyno day. I'm thinking if we can set a day early enough and get the word out it should be a huge turnout. When I 1st talked to him he said something about Bully Dog and/or BD Diesel maybe sponsering an event like this. If so, then maybe it could be posted on their web homepage.

Hey Dmax glad to see you back. Hey Rad, you can go to my 1st post now and find the link to download membership forms and info. Yeh, I was going to look into getting some stickers made up for us when I got off the boat, but if Dmax can get some faster that would be great. Hey Dmax, post or pm me you email address, so I can send you our "official" chapter logo.

02-10-2006, 03:16 PM
Thanks Dmax, I sent you an email with our logo. This bites, cause I'll be away from my truck for a whole month. I decided to get some 70hp DDP injectors along with a HTT 62/14 turbo, then I'm going to send off the Edge for their "HOT" upgrade. I don't know yet if I'm going to sell the Bully Dog or not, I'll know once I get everything else done if I need it ir not. What do you guys think?
DmaxEter
02-10-2006, 11:06 PM
I got the logo e-mail. I found out that the company that does our stickers is in IL and not local. I will see if I can find some one local and inquire about this. Where did you get those flyers from that you printed up? I want to make my own but I cant figure the logos out?
As far as being away from the truck for a month, You know where I live so how bout you just drop it off over at my place and I will see to it that it gets driven at least twice a week [whistle]
streetsmoker
02-11-2006, 01:10 AM
I got them done at office Depot.
Yeah, I think I'll do that. Promise you'll keep the engine warm and tires inflated right? And you promise to never excede the speed limit. And I'm sure you have no idea what that little digital monitor is on the dash and what it does. And make sure you remind people that diesels are slow and unresponsive and then proceed to show them by how slow mine is. [whistle] [coffee] Sure! that would work.
DmaxEter
02-11-2006, 09:10 AM
I'll take good care of it for you Streetsmoker [coffee] They will know that its slow and unresponsive by all the smoke its putting out I promise [laugh]
Speaking of taking care of a truck, I need to go change the oil in mine. I dont like to let it get past 4,000 between changes.
I guess they supplied the logos then for the flyers? I can find some on the internet and use them I guess. I'll get them done either way!!

Hey fellas , it sounds like everything has been going good. Sounds like your doing some nice upgrades street. Dmaxetr I got 5k on my oil and I'm towing everyday, I guess its time for a change. BTW I got me a Suzuki King Quad 700 saturday. :o
DmaxEter
02-13-2006, 11:16 PM
Truck finally went back to stock, Now I want more power back!!!
I ordered my dash mount gauge pod yesterday and will be ordering Fuel Press, Pyro, and Boost soon to. Im gonna run fuel in the cab to the gauge. We run oil in the cab on the Macks so whats the difference??
Congrats on the Suzuki. I had a 500 but it sat more than I got to ride it so I sold it. You will love it I bet. I couldn't imagine letting mine get 5,000 miles on an oil change. :o I would die.
OK, Heres the funny for the week. I got a new member to sign up and he is very intrested. He will be at the next meet if work permits. He owns his own buisness resurfacing and epoxy coating floors for airlines and big name NASCAR teams like Hendricks and DEI. Any way, he has a 2001 CC F350 dually that he pulls an enclosed trailer with all his tools and equipment in. I have helped out on some small projects with the truck. We put a flywheel and torque converter in. Since then he had to replace the engine due to cavitation. They had the trans replaced a while back with a Ford Reman. Well, the other day I get a call from his dad. Seems the truck just quit pulling. I drive to where he is and find the trans is GONE. Its making the same noises mine did when it pooped out. Well, they had been waiting for this day for a while now and a trip to BTS was scheduled for today. For those who dont know, BTS is a very reputable if not the best guy for the E4OD and 4R100 trans. He decided that rather than try and find a trailer to fit it he would just flat tow it the 4 hours to Lead Hill AR. This is where it gets good. The only other truck he has is a 93 F150 with 400,000 miles on it, not up to the task of towing a 8,000lb plus truck through the Ozark mountains. Thats where I put my two cents in. Lets just say that as we speak, he is cflat towing his POWERJOKE powered ford through the mountains by way of one very hansome and powerful Regular cab Silver Cummins powered Dodge Dually courtesy of ME. :p I think its great, the Flowerpoke Ford being towed to BTS by the Dodge. I wish I could be there to see him pull in with it.
This guy will be signing up with us. He is a very good guy and will fit in with the rest if us just fine. He is a good enough person that I let him take my truck on the trip without a worry in the world. Plus the braggin rights when he gets back are gonna be great!!!

Hey Dmax, you need to post that story in another thread it is so great and would get many responses. You know that once the ''BOMB" bug hits, there is no turning back [laugh]. It is one of the most addictive things to get caugt up in. Just try not to get caught up in the "flovor of the month" club and you should be allright though. A lot of people spend too much money on nonessential cr@p every time something new comes along, and they just have to try it out. I know I'm going bigger, but I have a reason. Bigger turbo=better airflow=reliabilty with all the extra fuel I'm adding. That and getting rid of 1 box and going with just 1 very reliable and powerful box with better flowing injectors is a better approach than stacking in my mind. HTT 62/14 + 70hp DDP injectors + "HOT" Juice= 500very reliable and efficiant ponies. After that and I'm done for good. [whistle]
DmaxEter
02-15-2006, 08:24 PM
Well, the Dodge made it up there and back towing the Ford without out a single problem. As if that wasnt expected. He said the first thing Brian asked was why the Dodge to tow it with? He told him you got to do what you got to do. Brian let him drive a dyno proven 700+ RWHP powerjoke. He said it wasnt no joke and it was fun to drive. The trans in his truck was roasted pretty good but Brian took good care of it. Even burned him a custom ship for the towing they do. Johns very happy. For that price tag he better be.
I wish that Bullydog would work on my truck cause I would sure buy it from you. I dont really want a box that plays with rail pressure. It just seems that the guys trunning them have some problems with injectors and what not with those boxes.
Has anyone decided on a next meet? I know its still early but I cant wait. I hope John can make it with his new BTS trans so we can all try it out and see the wonder that is a BTS trans.

I saw that our thread was getting low on the board, so I decided to give it a little bump. I get off the boat on the 8th, and I could treet a few to meet-n-greet/dinner it would have to be low key and unofficial so I can get going down the road to PHX, AZ for my vacation on the 9th. As far as our next official one It will be either April 29th or May 6th. In a couple weeks, I'll post a thread with a poll and we'll go from there. Hopefully Sam at Mid South will be able to hold a dyno day for us by then if not, then I'll get in touch with Dynospeed and have it there.

Hey guys, what do you think about a monthly dinner or breakfast meeting/planning/bs session? I wouldn't be able to coordinate or attend every month, but with Dmax bieng our designated vice pres. I'm sure he woudn't mind taking care of some of them. Although rigt now it seems me and Dmax are the only active ones left. I feel it would be a great way to indroduce new members without them loosing intrest between the bigger planned events. LIke I said I can do a March 8th dinner meet. But if we make it an official monthy thing, I wont be able to treet everyone [yuk] . Sorry guys.

03-10-2006, 02:55 AM
Well, I guess I can say I've had some ride and drive time testing my new injectors. I'm in Tucumcarri, NM staying the night before I drive on in to PHX tomorrow. How is it possible that my cruising rpms while towing have dropped about 75rpm's with the new injectors? Man this thing is even smoother running while towing DMax. It's almost spooky how quit things are now while towing at 60-73 and above 77mph. The only problem I have is that I have a drone at 74-76mph that didn't used to be there no problem really though, just drive a little faster or slower, seeing as how it only occurs in such a small rpm range. My egts are no different and mileage it up about .5mpg@70mph and below and unchanged above that.

I just posted in my tranny problem thread. I made up my mind, and I'll be looking for a dyno while I'm out here. I have to know exactly what I'm putting out. It seems like I was giving the guys at the diesel shop thrill ride today and they all asked me if I have had it dyno'd and I said not since stacking boxes and adding the injectors. I told them I'm probly pushing right at 450hp. After test driving my truck, Randy (the owner of Reliable Diesel Performance) said he wouldn't be surprised if I'm allredy at 500hp. I would have never thought it waas that much, but he has put together some serious trucks, and reportedly the quickest Diesel in the PHX area, so I didn't question his oppinion. One more thing about that truck he built: It is a Superduty with a twin turbo 5.9 12V Cummins that ran a 10.89 at Thunderbird raceway a couple weeks ago and set the track class record for street legal pickups.

Streetsmoker, I got your message about the 1/4 mile times. WOW, I still say a set of slicks would shave at least a second off your ET. How fast is a low 13 second run?
streetsmoker
03-18-2006, 03:16 AM
Before I do that, I'm going to need a lift pump and a turbo to burn all the fuel I put to it. Towards the end of my runs, I could tell I was getting major fuel starvation problems, cause the truck seemed to just die off after pulling real hard the 1st 3/4's of the way down the track.
My official quickest time was 13.62@103mph. 60ft. was 2.12sec. I was running very consistant 13.6-13.9's with 2.1-2.2sec. 60ft. times. The very last run i made while racing that Lightning I pulled down a 2.008 60ft. but forgot to disable my defuel program on the Edge, and wound up with a 13.70 et. I caught the Lightning at the line and 1/2 way down the track was a hood length ahead until he pulled away. Thats when I realized it started cutting power. He pulled down a 13.37@102mph on that run, so I know I would have been right there with him if I remembered to deactivate the defuel safety on the Edge.
So does that meen I can tell people my truck can run low to mid 13's in the 1/4? [whistle]. I'm wiling to bet I could easily pick up a consistant 1/4-1/3 sec. once I put on that Walbro lift pump, and cure the fuel starvation problem. What do you think?
DmaxEter
03-18-2006, 09:09 AM
It sure wont hurt, But I still say slicks would help more [laugh] I just got to say this one time, You got beat by a Lightning!!! :o

There you are. We are going to have a meet in Jackson in the very near future. We dont know a date or time, but Streetsmoker, the president, will be on in a little while and maybe he has decided something. I hope to get a lot of guys out of Nashville down here for that meet. We have plenty of trucks in the Memphis area, but no one seems to want to get into the group thing with us. We got about 5 members so far and have only had one official meet. Some great guys so far. We are also trying to plan a Dyno day here in Memphis with the guys at Mid South Diesel. They are a great bunch of guys and one of them is a member of our group. Welcome aboard if you eant to join. Like I said, Streetsmoker will chime in in a few minutes and get us all filled in on what hes thinking. I need to call him in a minute anyway, I see what he says then.
Welcome All.

Hey Dmax did you hear about Brian of BTS having a dyno day/truck pull in Lead Hill the weekend of April 28th & 29th? I'm seriously thinking about going. I wouldn't call it an official chapter meeting or anything yet, just something I would throw out there. I'm gonna get in touch with Sam about a dyno day the 1st week in June, so I'm thinking our next meet should be in Jackson, TN. There is a truck performance/4wd shop there I'm sure would be a great place for us.

"Around Moab" is close enough. That is at the sand dunes between Moab and Green River. My map is packed (moving), but I think it is White Wash or something like that. On the Latitude-40 "Moab West" map, it is a the top left corner, just below the map legend.
This one is at the parking area at the bottom of Pritchet Canyon.

Yep, thought so. Know the area well. I was supposed to wheel there last week, but the weather was cr@p so I didn't go. I went to the dragstrip while I was in PHX instead, and wheeled a trail called Predator. Last Sunday, I got to do some very rare snow wheeling in the AZ desert. Here's some pics.

We're glad to have ya. Help us spread the word that there is a club like ours and everyone is invited to join and attend, we don't have any restrictions on ownership of any one type of vehicle, just a general interest in diesel power. If you haven't allready done so, you can go to the beginning of this thread and get caught up on a little of our history thus far. Now you know about the chapter, don't be a stranger. I do my best to keep this thing up to date.

Summertown, I have been there a few times. New Years rock there. So what up with the next meeting? Johnathan called tonight asking who was going to BTS for his open house. I am gonna try and make it up there Saturday. Who else is going? I know Brian has nothing to do with the Dodges, but its gonna be worth it to see all the trucks and to meet a true legend. He know how to build them JUNK, I mean FORD transmissions. Jonathan loves his. Let me know who all wants to make the short trip and we will get a group together and head that way.
For those who dont know, Johnathan pulled his Powejoke up there to his place with my Dodge. Brain asked him what was up with that? He said you got to do what you got to do I guess. He sent me a Powerstroke T-shirt that has his logo on the back and the powerstroke logo on the front. I wear it and im proud of it to. [eyecrazy]

I gots more. You want more? Glad to see you roaming around Rad. I'm in the process of getting our next meeting together. It seems we may have some boys from your area interested, so The most likely places are my hometown or Jackson, TN. I figure if we split the distance between the greatest amount of interested areas, we should get more attendees. I'll be posting a poll of choices in the next few days. The day is pretty much set as May 6th, cause there is a pretty big diesel roundup going on in AR the weekend before, and I think a few of us from the Memphis area will be going. So all we need to decide on is the place.

We have been getting a lot of new blood wanting to get involved in our chapter, so I figured I should capitalize on it and go ahead and post a poll as to where we should have our 2nd official meet. The day is set so all we need to decide on is the place. There are some guys from the N. Ala area who seem interested along with a couple from the Nashville area, so I'm trying to help split the distance, hence the choices I listed.

You read my mind Dmax. That way we get as much coverage as possible, and when someone from the other areas decides to start there own chapter, then we could have a chapter vs. chapter thing. I have a pretty big garage, so we could also do a wrench session if someone needed it, and parking up to about 25rigs also. The most likely spot in Jackson would be the 4x4 & van center there.

Like I said, there's room for parking about 25 trucks, and I have a big 2 car garage, for anyone who wants to wrench on their stuff. To make the directions as simple as possible, we'll meet at the service station on the north side of HWY 78/Auburn Rd. Exit 90 at 10:30. Then around 11:00 or so, everyone can follow me to the hacienda. I'll be providing homemade chili, and gumbo for all those who might be hungry, or there is a great family cafe about 200yds from the house. If the group wants something else, just speek up, and we'll plan accordingly. So, bring a chair, and come have some fun and good conversatin just hangin' out with a bunch of diesel heads. I found a new drink that is great. Killians Irish Red. Wow. Its amazing how smooth these drinks can be. I may have had a little much tonight by accident.
On a lighter note, I just filled my three paint ball tanks and managed to get 32oz in the 20oz bottles and 22 in the 12oz bottles with out the pop offs popping. Freeze the little bottles and heat the big bottle. Worked great.
I know I already asked, but just so I can remember, what wrenching are we gonna be doing at the meet so I can bring the appropriate tools??
Pass me another Killians [laugh]

I guess it does appear as though I bailed to keep the wife happy, but I'm not much of one to pass up a free weekend getaway with the wife, we haven't even had a chance to go on our honeymoon yet, but that's another story. As for the next time I would like to move my pyro pre turbo as the P.O. put it post. I am in need of borrowing a tap.

I got one of those you can use. Hey Dmax, have you had the chance to put in that needle valve for the fuel gauge? If so, let me know if it works. Abbynormal pm'd me sayin that the stuf he's getting he's going to try and install before the meet. He was wanting to try the free govornor mod to allow it to rev higher though he said. I wouldn't bring the whole tool chest, just a goos asssortment if needed. I don't have 220 wied, but I can get one of those adapter plugs that goes into the 2 110v sockets of a conventional wall plug. Will that work? Let me know.

I had a whole month's worth of reading to catch up on. .. and Dmaxeter got MARRIED!!??? congrats!
Anyhow, I jumped in here just to say that I went down to Cummins MidSouth in Memphis today and picked up one of those *cheap* lift pumps. I gave them the part number and they sold it to me. No questions asked. :D
More news from the Prospector's cave: we've got a buyer for this place, and we are moving to Memfrica this weekend. We close on the new place on Wednesday.
It is a pretty sure bet that I won't be going to Tupelo for the meeting (see, I got back on topic ;) ). My son will be flying in to visit during the Memphis in May stuff that weekend.

Hey Dmax you here bout my fuel rail problems? I popped the relief prety bad last night while testing, and it was bad enough to go into limp mode. Looks like I wont be able to run with everything turned up after all. I think the way it happened had something to do with it though. Cause it was the last of 3 consecutive hard pulls, so I'm thinking cause it didn't do it the 1st 2 times, I may just have to take more time between runs.
Glad to see that Prospector is still around. The next meeting will definately be a dyno day at Mid South Diesel sometime around the beginning to middle of June. I just have to get up with Sam on costs and such. And make sure he can work it into his schedule.
DmaxEter
04-24-2006, 10:53 PM
Man, it popped the relief valve? Is it ok now? Did it damage the valve? If so, get a part number and talk to Sam at Midsouth about a replacement. Im sure its Bosch part. No sence in paying $500 for a new one from Dodge.

Hey, Prospector is still alive [laugh] What type of lift pump are you speaking of? I havent heard anything on this one yet.

There is a good topic or 2 about it over on TDR, but hard to find much about it here. I did find this topic that talks about it some: intank pump+ updated cummins pump= ????? (http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/dev/showthread.php?t=95407)
P/N 4090046, is for the lift pump kit. It is recall kit for buses, ambulances and other public works type vehicles. It will fit our trucks. I am not sure of the individual pumps part number but the 65.00 price is for this number- 4090046. So that is what you need to ask for. I work at a new car dealer this is standard procedure. When you have a recall you control the parts so you price them really low so you don't get eaten up in recall costs. After the recall is over the price will be adjusted way up. You just need to make them think you are doing the recall. Some won't ask anything at all other than "how will you be paying for this and where do I ship it?" You are not breaking any laws by getting it for this price. If you feel bad about lying just keep calling cummins parts departments till you get someone who doesn't ask what you want it for.
A lot of folks seem to be real happy with the new pump when combined with the Vulcan kit (http://www.vulcanperformance.com/servlet/the-1/Vulcan-Pusher-Pump-System%E2%84%A2/Detail) often called the "big line kit" but actually sold as "Vulcan Pusher Pump System™"
ProspectorTim
04-24-2006, 11:37 PM
Another DTR topic about it - here (http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/dev/showthread.php?t=99383).
BTW, this kit also includes a "low fuel pressure" switch. I figure you don't need a degree in electrical engineering to run a wire to a light or LED *somewhere* on the dash. :)
Congrats on selling the homestead and closing on the new one. Let us know if we can help with anything.
Thanks.
I'll start hauling some stuff over as soon as we have the keys (Wed afternoon), but the "official" moving day is Saturday. I'll probably rent a moving truck or endclosed trailer so we can git-r-done in fewer trips... unless someone here HAS a decent size trailer and a Saturday to kill. ;)

Yeh, it's running fine now. Nothing is damaged at all. It is a reset vavle thankgoodness. It just went to limp mode till the valve reset, and I turned the truck off and recranked it. Sure was scary having the power of a 1st gen and the loudness of a 24v for a while though, till everything went normal again. Something else I noticed when it went to limp: the Edge automatically reset itself to default programming, and I had to reset all the parameters on it again.

I should have a new exhaust system come in today or Friday I hope. Maybe I'll be able to get it on. Had to cancel my 5" system and get a 4" stainless system. It'll probably do better anyway.

Sorry I been absent the last few days, I just got back to work. We had a small but great meeting Saturday and got alot accomplished. As for the next meeting, I'll be talking to Sam at Mid-South Diesel to host our next meeting in June and provide a dyno day for all of us who attend. This should be our biggest meet yet.

Boy that sure was a nice drive, 336.7 miles. The over head liar said 21.9 but it was more like 20.1mpg. Next time I'm bringing a pole. Thanks for hosting Streetsmoker. Abbynormal has a cool exhaust now and DmaxEter took the zip ties off and bolted on the horsepower. I just supervised (eh observed). Great time though. In closing I have one thing to say...[director] WOOF!

Yep - its a little hard to lighten up on the go pedal now ! Between the timing / valve adj and exhaust its sure runnin a LOT better. Passes a lot better on two lane roads ! Maybe after a while it'll help my mpg when I get used to it !

Ran into a guy this afternoon in the big town of Olive Branch that has a early 2005 2500 with BDPP with Crazy Larry. Stopped and talked for a little bit and gave him a chapter form so maybe he will stop in. He is a Pete mechanic in Memphis. Truck looked great and ran even better. Cant go wrong with Crazy Larry. If you lurking out there and see this, register and post a reply here.

I hate that I missed the last meeting. I bet it was a lot of fun. My bank account was running on vapors and I just couldn't make it. Setting money aside now for the next one though! Quick question, what should I go with a Comp or a TST PM3? They are both used and about the same amount. I'm selling my EZ to get one or the other. What's your thoughts? Thanks - Max

My vote's for the TST, but if the Comp box is the Drag version, go woth it. Can't go wrong either way though.

Mglass, I wish I could have been there too. I think I have family in town the second weekend in june, but since it is so close I should be able to get down there for at least part of the time. As for your question about the comp or tst, I can't really tell you which one I like better becouse I don't know much about the tst and have never rode in a truck with one. I do have a comp box and the only thing I don't like abot it is that it doesn't do much in the lower rpm, so unless you get the rpm's up high before every shift the truck will be slow in the first part of the next gear. Then when the rpm get's up to somewhere between 1700-1800 it will take off. It can be a little agrivating in daily driving, or to me at least. I would really like to get a smarty, since they say it really helps out in the lower rpm's :D
