MPG increase with shift kits?

Hello all,

I have been researching and I see mixed reviews about shift kits. I plan to install a Transgo kit in my truck in the next few weeks. I see suggestions of replacing the accumilator valve, thanks for the input.

I am wondering if anyone has seen a mileage increase after the install?

I do not plan on doing any heavy modding, but I will look into a T/C later down the road. Wrenching is not unfamiliar to me so I can do incremental installs as needed.

Thanks,
Mark

I did not see any change with my 47RE, the fuel mileage is the same as it was before.

Did a valve body build up instead of a shift kit. Did not see any increase in mileage. But transmission acts and shifts SOOOO... much better it's well worth doing. It took a new torque converter to improve in town mileage.
