MP-8 v. Diablo Power Puck

I have been doing some reading on here about the MP-8. I know its a pressure box like the Puck I have. A lot of people have been saying NOT to run the MP-8 over 40% unless you have injectors and a good fuel filtration system because of high rail pressures. I don't have a rail pressure gauge and was wondering what kind of rail pressures I'm seeing with the Puck on 90 HP setting. I just want to be sure I'm not hurting anything. I usually run on the 40 HP setting. My other question is, should I keep the Puck and use that for pressure when I start doing other stuff or should I upgrade to the MP-8? Thanks

Also, where can I find a price for the MP-8? I looked on the TS website but they didn't list a price. Thanks

I think it will be ok for now. The MP-8 just has infinite adjust-ability, but that can be kind-of a bad thing when you want to stay with what works. I am not sure what you will see with the of 40hp, I really think they all read different anyway. Some trucks make more or less than others. The MP-8 is one of the most aggressive pressure boxes out the so, just like you said try to keep it below 50% and your injectors and relief valve will last a little longer.

What do you have in mind for a timing/duration box?

I have installed 2 different MP-8's in different trucks and both are stock except for the boxes. The one guy has his on a 06 and keeps it on 100% all of the time. It has been there for over 1 year now.

The other one is in a 04.5 and he is like me, only on at the strip.

It will make high rail pressure for sure, I can crank my MP-8 to 75% and keep my rail at the safety threshold.

For my personal truck, I got my MP-8 at an on-line auction site for $160 shipped. (I hope this does not violate site rules)

Does a TST do timing? I want to go with a SMARTY. Before I do much more though I'm gonna have to do some trans work.

Yup, the TST R49 has adjustable timing and rail pressure. The Smarty is just much fun though.

Kinda been off the box kick lately ....thanks to not liking the lousy traction in the snow and having just toasted 2 injectors, but I am curious as to what makes the Smarty so much fun compared to a box like the Ramifier or the MP8.
Opinions?
Thanks.
