Moving to Phoenix area?

I have a job offer on the table that would allow me to make almost double what I make know. The issue is that I live in central OH now and would need to move to the Phoenix/Mesa area. I am a computer tech with a number of years experience. It sounds like a good job and my parents moved to northern AZ last year, so I would be closer to them.

People that live there, I would like to know your thoughts of the area. NJOverkill, I would really appreciate your input, as I understand you recently moved there from the east. I would be getting a 2 bedroom apartment in the Mesa area.

Also, I need to move at least 1 car, but probably 2. So input on that would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Nick

No joke intended-
Get your windows tinted and add another AC compressor!

My sister lives there for some reason.

I just left that area. I lived in Chandler. I definately agree on the tinted windows and some way to beef up the AC. Overall it isnt too bad. I volunteered for a transfer, but I wanted to see other parts of the countrty. One of my wife's and I best friend lives there. We are going back on Thanksgiving to see her. Not sure if I would live there again permanently but I would certainly go back to visit. Also The first summer wasn't so bad to me, but each sucessive one felt hotter and hotter.

I moved from Virginia to Texas, and I love it. When I first came down here it was December 14 (alot of years ago), I went looking for apartments, at the complex, I ened up renting at, there were several young ladies sun bathing around the pool. Needless to say I took a 2nd floor apt. overlooking the pool. I like it hot much better than I do cold. It doesn't get that much hotter here than it did up north it just stays hot alot longer (instead of 3-4 days at a time its more like 3-4 months at a time.

Be sure to put a hidden kill switch in your truck before you move there. We don't want to hear of anymore stolen Ram stories.
