More Leveling Questions - is rear end attention necessary?

Lots of great info on this board. I'm getting ready to replace my tires and thought of putting some big rubber on my beast.

I'm not sure why the rear would need these rear leaf packs everybody is talking about. If I get the Kore front kit, why would I need the rear leafs? Does it lift the front too much??

Also, some folks just get the kit and no new shocks? I think the Kore kit is the best value since you get shocks. Also the Lorenz kit looks like a score too based on all the feedback here. I don't want to spend a lot of money BUT if I can get a better riding truck for $600 it would be worth it in my opinion. I had a Jeep before with a 3" lift and the death wobbles killed it. The Ms. ain't gonna go for a 'lift' but a level kit is something that should not get me in any trouble.

I'll update my sig soon but for now i'm just a stock 06 Mega 2500 4x4 5.9 and loving it.

The leaf springs provide a better ride, and the full leaf packs also move the axle back a little to allow 37" tires to clear the bed.
