More Idle??
Sorry to ask the same questions as many others have asked. I searched the forum and could not find an answer. My idle is too low to run the A/C. Tried to adjust my idle. After I got the nut loose, the bolt turned less than a 1/4 turn then stopped. Is it possible that the low idle adjustment is backed out all the way to the lever stop. I have a haynes manual, that was the only thing that looked reasonable. If this is the problem, what options do I have for turning the idle up.
Thanks

Is there crud or rust on the bottom of the bolt? Did you try to hold the throttle open a bit when turning the bolt? The top of the bolt tends to get a groove worn in it from the throttle lever and makes adjusting the idle a little touchy.

You could just do away with the adjust screw altogether. After my s-shaped bar (throttle linkage bar?) broke I went to the hardware store and replaced it with a turnbuckle and put a "lock nut" on it. Now all i have to do is loosen the lock nut and twist the buckle, quick and easy.
