After reading the threads on Air Filters and having a Turbo blade not free spinning, we took the K&N filter off and re-installed the factory air intake with the new Mopar 53034249AA filter. Note: did replace the turbo last week and wanted to go back to the stock air intake anyway. Today we drove down to see my Mom which was around 150 miles. Mileage slightly higher than the K&N and there was no noticable difference with the power from a dead stop to crusing at 70mph. This was the first day with the new air filter and we are impressed. The older style air filters that are thinner and more compact pleats seem to drag the engine down more. This is why we changed to a K&N 4 years ago. I am happy with the new Mopar filter.
By the way, did I mention it is quiter now! For those that like the turbo whine, this might not be for you.....

Thanks for the report. I'd like to hear future reports as it gets older, especially after a good day riding around in the rain. Also after you get some miles on it, I'd like to know if your filter minder pulls down on hard acceleration.

I have always run stock mopar and never had any issues.

I would be insterested to see some specs of the tests that were run on the new filter to compair them to the Baldwin info I have.

MADE IN USA. Dust cap = 540 G @ 0.025 bar rise. 99% eff min @ maxflow 19.12 M^3/MIN. This is off the side of the filter. The ad claims 99.5% eff. Hope this helps your need for the specs.

I always use the Mopar as well and my oil analysis comes back with .2-.7 for insoluables/Silicone. Always WAY below the problem zone and they always comment on how well my air filtration is working . nad I rodeo and live on a dirt road so the worst of air conditions.

This is a new filter # for Mopar. The aftermarket does not catch up that quickly,but they will duplicate it sooner or later depending useage numbers.Geno's has the new 53034249AA mopar in stock $26.

I just ordered a Wix air filter and installed it this past weekend... looked much better built than the stock mopar I removed..

side note: the filter minder was saying that my filter was dirty, but it looked barely dusty when I removed it..

I think I'll keep using the Fleetguard air filter for $14.95 until its proved to be a much better filter for the extra $$$ they want for it.

I bought mine at a discount for $25.00 including tax. Just a little perk we have with Dodge. I believe the dealer list was $31+ So far in 3 days of driving, we have had very well performance v/s the K&N. Fuel mileage stilll in the 23MPG range in the interstate and short drive to and from the IS. WIll advise a little on as to a week worth of driving. Wish the weather would break so we could tow the boat to the coast and really give it a work out.

I have been running these for over 100,000 miles. I usually change filters at 15,000 miles but I have run them to 20,000 without the filter minder moving.
