Moog upper ball joints are garbage
I replaced all my ball joints at 209,000km and I had to replace the upper Moog ball joints as they were completely trashed ....I mean its amazing the truck wasn't trashed....all this in 121,000km. The lower Mopars were 75% and 85% good and I replaced those along with a U-joint just cause it was all apart....may as well start fresh.
To get warranty the seller wanted me to buy another set, return the old ones, send them in to see if they qualified for the lifetime warranty....I went Mopar as the first ones were only 50% gone after the 209k km.

Were the Moogs greaseable? All we hear are how lousy the stock non-greasable U & ball joints are! Maybe the dimensions of the Moogs don't match the OE size, just a thought.

Yep, They were greaseable and greased but the hole in the bottom that wore through allowed all the grease in the last 6 months to just flow out....Moog had them as the part to use....the guys that installed them and the alignment shop thought they were great....not now... I'll take a pix and see if it shows how deadly they wore. Kerry

MOOG went downhill about 10 years ago...
Zerks aren't everything.. Ball joints don't move as much as ujoints..
IMO, factory ball joints are probably the best till XRF comes out with theirs..

Replaced all 4 on the rough ridin F-350 at 26,000 with the greasable moogs and they are holdin strong at 72,000. Many of those miles were on jobsites and trashy pot holed WV backroads.

i wrecked my truck several months back and had to buy a whole new axle housing...i had to buy new ball joints with it as well. got her back on the road drove fore a week then went to get the alignment checked and the man doing it said my ball joints are bad ( 2 week old mopars ) sure enough, they were so i bought a new mopar set and a new moog set, the moogs just felt better holding them in your hands, the mopars were real loose feelin, so i threw the moogs on and havnt had a problem yet......i guess everyone makes bad batches every once in awhile

My front end felt great also... when they jacked up the truck and put the pry bar in .....it moved a 1/2 inch... Mopar 125k miles, Moog 60k miles. Mopar lowers were still good. Some people think 60k miles is good but to me it isn't for uppers. How many miles on your Moogs? Kerry

This is not surpising to me.
I have worked in the chassis industy for 14 years and have had less than good results from Moog chassis parts.
Since I switched, Napa chassis stuff has always treated me well. I havn't used anything in our applications as of yet, so time will tell.
