Moki Dugway ???

Moki Dugway ???
I'm taking a trip through southern Utah in May. Anyone know anything about the Moki Dugway? It is Hwy 261 and it transitions from paved to 2 miles of gravel with 10% grades and switch backs. RV's not recomended. I expect my truck camper qualifies as an RV.

are you pulling a trailer? or is your camper a slide in?... if it's a slide in, i wouldn't worry about it. i've been there and it's kind of steep and sharp turns but ok for a pickup w/ a big camper in the bed

Been through there many times. As mentioned a slide in should not be an issue just make sure and watch how close you get to the inside. There might be a spot or two that you need to watch the height if going up it but you will have no problem the road is plenty wide enough. Some of the switchbacks are a bit tight for a big RV or trailer. The rest of the road is paved and at least last time through was in very good shape.
Make sure and take the short side trip over to the Goosenecks of the San Juan veiwpoint. One of if not the best example of an entrenched meander in the world. Also Muley Point is good veiw point but the road is a bit rougher and longer to get to on that side trip. I also second Natural Bridges nice lesser know park particularily if you do the loop hike through the canyons.
