Modded p7100s

I am eventually going to need more fuel and I was just wondering how much a modded p pump cost or to have one worked.

Thanks

Are you sitting down?

Could be upwards of $3k +. Depends on what you want done to it, and who does the work.

That is pretty pricey. What is the going rate for a 215 pump these days?

It wont cost anywhere near that if you go call Interior Diesel Performance ask for Rob 1 250 833 9904 he did mine and it is amazing the amount of fuel he can get out of a pump and have it burn clean

Thanks Ted

If J.R. Adkins a call if you need some pump work. 3K sounds a bit high, unless your putting everything into it, 13mm plungers and barrels, quick rate cam and etc. You can get alot of fuel from a 215 pump. I bought my 215 pump for $700 with throttle linkage and everything else on it. J.R.'s number is 317-281-3130

The P-7100 pumps are great pumps.

Depends on what you want to do, the sky is the limit. It's easy to go over $4k on a P-pump setup. But, it's also not hard to keep the bill under $1,000.

If you want stupid power, then you need a stupid pump, and that comes with all the extra driveability side effects.

I had one of JR's 1450 pumps, and it was just crazy, with my '55 and Big Air, I could hit 100PSI boost no problem, and rev over 5,000.

Drop a PM to J.R. or I and we could hook you up tight.

I'm not knocking them but to say thos are the best is not quite right. Schied is great but you can get the same stuff cheaper. I have seen a few pupms from J.Rs pump guy and they are just as wicked as any of them out there. Mine soo will make the trip to his shop when I get a new turbo to burn the extra fuel.

Thanks for the info guys, I am not going stupid power. I just want to be able to push my combo to the limit (when I get twins) I know my 160 pump will not satisfy my need for speed either

IMHO, I would remove your pump, get it rebuilt, and balanced, stay with the stock P&B's, chenge the GS's to something around 4k, put 191 DV's (the lsr cut ones are a bit smokey), and have the pump turned up to about 80%, or so. This will still cost over a grand, but the power increase has no comparison.

P.S. Don't forget about getting some larger injectors, EDM'd
