Has any one removed the front drive shaft for better mileage?

I know one guy on here took his off, I think he said he saw about 1 MPG better with it off...

Removing the front drive shaft would be very minimal at best. The front axle is still turning.

Thanks I have A 520 mile trip each way to tow my Toy Box, any increase would be fine.
