MBRP cat test pipe install?

I think I may have posted a question in the wrong forum this morning. Posted a question regarding the installation of a test pipe in the TXDTR #8 forum.

Anyhow, I got the stock kitty removed without dinging it up too badly, just have a massive ringing in my ears now from the pneumatic hammer and sledge...

I can get the test pipe to slide nicely over the down pipe, but can't get it to slide into the other end. Does anybody have a good source for a pipe expander? Or should I just cut four slits in it like MBRP did for the end that mates up to the down pipe? Any one have any other (better) solutions?

I've attached a picture or two of my shotty workmanship for reference. And yes - that's grease - I don't know why I thought it would help.

Also - I picked up some Accuseal clamps, but it appears that I may have a leak or two where I've deformed the exhaust out of round so badly. Is this the end of the world? Never had an exhaust leak so I don't really know what the worst that could happen is... are we just talking some soot on the underside?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Slits would probably do the trick just don't make them to long once its started you should be able to beat it into place. Or you might be able to straighten it enough with vice grips. Mine slid into place no problem for some reason. As far as sealing it up I used header wrap and some nice band clamps from Napa.

Thanks! I think that's the route I've decided on. Have to pick up a cut-off tool on my way home since it burned up during my last project (probably lack of oil). Worst cast, I guess I get to buy a "cat" back system, right?
