Brakes are the single most limiting factor when it comes to towing/hauling capacity. Sure, you can pull 20K pounds on a trailer...but can you stop it safely? Does it sway a lot? How controllable is it? Does it endanger other people's lives?
I'm not trying to sound like an *** (too late), but this is the stuff you have to think about.
Obviously if you are hauling stuff around the farm, the limits are going to be a little more relaxed. But if you are going on a highway, safety is the most important factor.
