Master/slave cylinder problems!!!!
My clutch will stay disengaged long enough for me to put the truck in gear and usually by that time its already taing off on me. Im talking this thing is scarry to drive right now! Ive done some searching and I think its the master and slave cylinders going out. But for some reason could there be some air in the lines. My resevoir was only about 1/2 full so I topped it off. I have not found if you can bleed the slaves on a NV4500, some say just to pump and pump and pump an pump to force the air out. If theres no air and I do that should I see some fluid somewhere, or not? I have read that slves leak externally??
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try taking the slave out of the bellhousing & pump it in/out about 12 times....this should help. Are you sure that the clutch isn't smoked? If you are sure it is the hydraulics....get the Southbend hydraulics. They are around $225 at Advanced Diesel Technology 304-864-3399.

I just replaced mine, was doing the same thing. Be sure you have it clocked right as it goes into the firewall. It can drive you nuts till you notice you are a complete idiot and can't see well without glassses.
