Don't need it. If anything, I'd only use it in an extremely dirty engine to loosen some deposits, thats it. Even then, it isn't very effective from past experience.

Ummm....no. MMO is a fuel lube not a cleaner.

I have used it and Power Service every tank since new on my 05, and the last 100k on my 92. Anything you can do raise the cetane and lubricating qualities is going to extend your fuel system life.

That being said, the CP3 on my 05 went south after 30k with leaks. On the other hand I don't have any problems with injectors or combustion knock from carboning the tips.

Its a little insurance and peace of mind.

Most use it in the fuel system as lubricant is important in the low sulpur fuels. I don't use any additives in my oil as they did a test a while back showing most oil manufactures stated not to use the treatment in the oil due to what it does (some actually broke down the molecules that lubricate) yes it thinned it out and got better millage, but at what, the life of the motor, no thank you. I use PS, and am going to look into mixing the MMO 1/4 to the PS.

I'm using TCW-3 2 stroke mixture oil with PS. Burns clean and no ash.

We should be using TxLED diesel fuel now in the area. It's ULSD with a cetane rating of 46. I hope it's good stuff.

Pilots use it because the 100 low lead fuel causes valve sticking and plug fouling on the older engines that were only designed for 80 - 86 leaded fuel . I found in my plane it helped very little and it is not FAA approved and I stopped using it . I got a auto fuel STC for my older Cessna and all my problems disappeared but I still know some older pilots that still use MMO . I have seen many more use a pint of automatic transmission oil per 20 gallons with better results . I do add a pint of Avblend in at my oil changes and it has helped my aircraft a lot . The older aircraft didn't even have oil filters on them until the late 60's and many still do not . In my diesel I put diesel fuel after trying many different additives over the years and have never seen one that would pay for it's self .

My brother and I both use it. It adds lubricity, and truck runs smoother.

I've been using a mixture of Diesel treatment & MMO for some time but I have no specific data that says how I'm benefitting. I keep several throw-a-way 16 oz water bottles on hand that is filled with 8 oz diesel treatment & 8 oz of MMO. I add a bottle every other fuel fill (which translates to a bottle of treatment mixture about every 35 gallons or so). Why am I doing this? Cause some of you guys on DTR recommended it.

i use mmo or non detergent 30 weigth oil. get in the habit of using something that lubricates your fuel system- 07 is around the corner-which means low sulfer fuel!

I use MMO mixed with PS. Wouldn't leave home without it. It also appears to be helping fuel economy in the middle of the winter blend season.
