Sorry, I was trying to get creative with the title. [dummy]
Anybody have an idea for a meet? So far someone has mentioned the mud bowl during Spring Break.

Well I know I'm out from the 18th-22nd of March. I'll be out on a jobsite in CA. That weekend is easter anyway. But, that's about it for me for the month. That I know of so far.
Really wanted to make it to Alvarado the other day lol, but some stuff came up and wasn't able to. Oh, Matt.....it was the cap on the radiatior....that's all, everything is fine now.

I think I'm pretty open this month so whatever works. A local meet would be fine with me, but it doesn't really matter.

I might be gone March 15-17th to Port A for SB....depending on whether or not I kill my roommates by then lol. If not, Ill definitely be dynoing.

Hey Randy. Question for you......I was wondering if you could fab. an adapter for me for an exhaust.....I need one end 4" id. and the other 6" id. not too long though. What would that cost if you can do it, no urgency for it. I could get you the money at the next meet if that's cool with you. Just let me know. Thanks!!!

Just wondering....you guys want another member to your chapter? I mean, since I live right there in Morgan Mill and all...??
Jordan5687
02-28-2008, 04:57 PM
That's cool man! I've seen your truck in Tolar a bit, I work down that way parts of the year, live there in the Summer and in FW the rest of the time.
Oh guys....I may end up keeping this truck after all. But if so, I'm going to be doing the turbo, injectors, stacking another chip, water/meth.....and that's probably it lol. Oh and a bumper, flatbed and something else lol.

02-28-2008, 05:15 PM
WCDeviller, we welcome about anyone that likes diesel fuel.
Jordan, that's a pretty short list, you need to be more creative than that. [laugh]

Also everyone, there is the upcoming mud races in weatherford on the 8th, just something to kill time, Me and a couple friends were talking about going, but they're going to south Texas that weekend, and that's the first weekend me and the wife have had off together in several months, so we are going to just hang out and relax.
Jordan5687
02-28-2008, 05:37 PM
Yeah, there's several other things I need to do...or want to lol.....so we'll see. But power comes before the looks of it lol :)

02-29-2008, 02:11 PM
glad to see you guys aren't picky.
Duallydog
02-29-2008, 06:05 PM
We started out with high standards, but we had to lower our standards to let the guys with 2nd gens in and its been down hill ever since. [laugh]
Hey Dawson, found it in the General section (forgot they went to a wiki format) [duhhh] P0514 BAT Temperature Sensor Rationality. Which makes some sense on the way into town this morning, the water temp on the instrument cluster never made it to its usual temperature.

anyone planning on going to Priddy April 4-5 besides me? I'm trying to get my rig ready to meet the new street diesel sanctioned class safety requirements: upward exhaust, hoops & shields, etc. Looks like ol whitey is gettin a pair of stacks after all! we did real good at Alvarado and they decided to raise the weight to 8500#, so i gues I'm in for the season.

I can't do much of anything for a while...I dislocated my knee playing baseball.

03-01-2008, 07:20 PM
Knee? I thought you were about to mess up your arm was all? (That sounds better doesn't it?)

03-01-2008, 08:42 PM
Matt, it's good to hear you got your sensor thing sorted out. I guess that's the perks of owning a new truck. [laugh]
I might make it down to Priddy the first weekend in April. I'll have to check and see first. Has anything been decided about a meeting for this month?

Stupid question...maybe....maybe not?...
Ok, going to look at putting some injectors on my truck if it doesn't sell. Maybe about 100hp minimum. What I'm wondering is if they are going to really be bad about the mileage?? I don't care about pulling a loaded trailer with cause I want the power and that's fine then but when I'm not pulling anything is it still gonna suck?
Duallydog
03-02-2008, 04:56 PM
Usually the mileage is better with the lower output injectors, I'm thinking 100hp is the last one that will help your mileage, after that your using fire hose nozzle's and it'll start hurting.
Jordan5687
03-02-2008, 09:16 PM
Oh man, really? Even if I do a different turbo and all? I guess I need to look at a good chip to stack with what I've got then. Like maybe a 65 or 90hp injector? Maybe I'll do the 65 and stack something as well. I saw a redline box on a website that was only a fueling box that did 85hp. It was adjustable for about $430. I know those bigger boxes from them are for the pulling crowd and stuff. I'll see what my mechanic says about it. Or the Smarty would be my next choice.....probably a bit better spent getting that for about$650 and like 170hp. We'll see. I've been turbo shopping and it'll cost about $1600 for a real good one that will match super well what I need. I don't want to do twins cause that'll be about $4k easy lol lol.
There's a guy coming tomorrow to look at the truck and another that's supposed to call me Tuesday on it, so whatever they decide I'll either keep it or sell it.
Jordan5687
03-02-2008, 09:19 PM
I was just reading on the Mach 1.6 injectors they're 90hp and say they're the best for increased fuel economy, towing injector, and it's about $100 more for 25 more hp. I can always turn the other power adders off or down. Might be ok??
Jordan5687
03-02-2008, 10:04 PM
Ok, another question. I seem to have my own page here just about lol lol.
What have you guys heard about Dr. Performance products?? Just heard of them but nothing else? Or you know how good/bad they are? Thanks!
Duallydog
03-03-2008, 09:03 AM
I've heard people that like their (Dr Performance) injectors but not their boxes, but the people who have run just their boxes like them. (I think because they haven't run anything else to compare to.)
rbrettctd
03-03-2008, 12:32 PM
NO DR. PERFORMANCE!!!! Junk! Ive heard horror stories of what they did to customers' trucks there to get the power level they promised...such as cracking the valve on a NO2 bottle in front of the filter to get they dyno numbers up. Then I had a guy that used to work there install my first set of gauges and took many many shortcuts that I had to fix later on.
cbtumedic
03-03-2008, 05:16 PM
If you really want to know about DR. P give me a call, I know quite a few people that have worked for him and have seen how he will cheat to make your truck make the dyno gains he promises, needless to say I am not a fan of him or his products. Just my .02.
Jordan5687
03-03-2008, 05:47 PM
Alright well that's good to know thanks guys! I won't need to look there again. I just passed something on the web that's why I was just wondering.

Hey Matt! I might be a proud owner of a 3rd gen. before long!!! I have a buyer that's supposed to be down from Kansas on Friday morning, he'll be here Thursday night. There's a truck I'm looking at that if it's still there I'll be getting it on Friday!!! I can't wait!!! This new one's real nice looking.

03-13-2008, 09:14 AM

Jordan5687
03-13-2008, 06:58 PM
You mean cause I'm getting a nicer truck? Or just a different one? lol lol. Watch out what you say lol lol...jk man ;) Take care, hopefully I'll have a new ride by the time I see you guys again!
So did we ever decide when the next meet's gonna be??
Duallydog
03-13-2008, 07:51 PM
Because you'll be driving a different truck.
No permenant decision yet, it would be great if we could have a place to have it during the day on the weekend (Justin will you be home that weekend? :) Like the 29th?)

Anybody have any ideas for a place to hold the meeting?
WCDevillier
03-22-2008, 07:54 PM
we could use my place, if needed. i have a few acres and a shop just a few miles north of Stephenville.
Duallydog
03-22-2008, 10:43 PM
Sounds like a good place to start. I hate inviting myself to someone else's place, but it would probably work as well as anything for a daytime meeting. Otherwise we would need to meet at Dunlap's old parking lot on Friday or Saturday night.
EatMySmoke
03-23-2008, 12:50 PM
Matt, Friday night or during the day Saturday would be best for me if it works to have the meet then. I can't make it Saturday night because I'm playing at Rockin' P.
Dawson

03-24-2008, 08:01 AM
That'd be perfect, we could have the meet and then the few members we have that are over 21 could go watch. Let's see here, thats me and...um...I guess WCDeviller, I am now shocked at how young our member base is.
Duallydog
03-25-2008, 04:25 PM
OK, we have a place to meet at on Saturday just north of Morgan Mill now that WCDeviller has so graciously offered his place. I'm hammering out a time but I'm figuring about 1pm.
