Marathon install day!
Whew, I'm beat! It was a loooong day, but what a reward. I spent ALL day and evening yesterday down a my bud's shop, and we managed to build me what seems like a new truck. The list of installs: Goerend trans, converter and flywheel, Dieselsite ext. trans filter setup, HE351 turbo, JMB Perf. CAI, Hellwig rear swaybar setup, Energy poly fr. bar and end link bushings, and all of the engine comp. side of a 4 gauge setup (EGT, boost, fuel press., trans temp.). Still have the int. side of the wiring for that, but all in all one of the most productive install days ever! Many thanks to all those on here who helped with experiences, opinions, part #'s, etc. This site is truly a gold mine for us shadetree guys. The brews are gonna taste good tonight! Cheers!
Oh, and it looks like the prediction in my sig was spot on, no? I guess I'll have to change that now, huh?

Good for you! Wish I had a set-up with a buddies shop too do work like that. That's a lot of work to get done for a shadetree sort of guy like me! I've got a Goerend tranny myself, and love it! Your right--the beers are gonna taste better tonight!

As for the tranny, so far I love it! Nice firm shifts, perfect shift points, and much more responsive. Dave was great to work with, and all indications are that this is a brute of a tranny!
Oh, and Mule, I got the bushings from energysuspensionparts.com. I read on here to get the 30mm ones, but I measured my front sway and it measured 1.25"(32mm), so those are the ones I got. I think maybe there are 2 different front sways that come on 3rd gens? Not sure on that, better to just measure yours. Look for the kit, it has the frames and links both, it's cheaper that way.
I have yet to post any pics of my new ride since I've joined this site, I will try to get some on here tomorrow if the weather holds out.
