How many have broke Billet Intermediates?
I just had my Goerend replaced and have only 1500 miles on my new one, and it left me stranded at the beach... I was in a long line heading down the beach with my little girl at 10mph when boom.... truck wouldn't budge!!!!
Talk about ****** off.... worse thing.... having to see all the ford and chevy guys come by grinning... cause it's usually them that ain't movin'
Dave's building another one for me cause there is metal in the pan, so he doesn't know what else the intermed took out.
He's putting a stock one back in..... hopefully it will be ok...
Now for the $$.... it cost me $750 to tow it back 200 miles to my house and my boat is still at the beach... waiting for my dad to bring it back.... that on top of the $500 I just paid to ship the new tranny out to me a couple of months ago...
I know, I know... you play you pay, but to have a shaft break cruising at the beach..... arggggggggggggh.
May be time to really part out for good and get my challenger.....

When I talked with the guy at HTS and ordered my tranny he said I didn't need the intermidiate shaft as the only one he had ever seen break was on a 1200hp race truck and I think it was a stock one. I went ahead and got one anyway as I wanted it to be bulletproof.

Broke a billet intermediate shaft first time at the track yeah I know that feeling of watching fords and chevys rolling by. There was an issue about a year ago I heard when there was a whole batch of bad shafts that went around and people were snapping I was one of those.I sent my tranny back HTS straightened it out and no problems since. HTS has had in my opinion the best customer service I could ask for.

From talking with Dave, this appears to still be a big problem. I thought mine was bullet proof too.... he seamed very hesitant in putting another billet in it, even though I'm only around 500 or so HP....
