Hey guys I was just wondering when you change tranny fluid (auto) is it necessary to pop off the pan? I went under there and I think I saw a drain plug.

Also for the transfer case fluid is it the same as the diff--drain plug and filler hole? Just trying to save some money by avoiding the dealer I put so much milage its definatly worth my while to do this stuff myself.

I was considering registering to this what do u think? http://www.alldatadiy.com/index.html

P.s. if chang oil and oil/fuel filters as much as I do check this guys egay store out http://stores.ebay.com/WHOLESALE-MOPAR-PARTS-HALL-CDJ_Dodge-Ram-Parts_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZQ2d1QQfsubZ18576440QQftidZ2QQ tZkm

appreciate the links. have you subscribed to TDR (turbo diesel register) a lot of top notch information, particulary for the do it yourselfer.
i do like to tinker, but the service I leave up to the dealer. My dealer here in San Jose, Ca has so fine diesel mechanics. fortunately I don't put on a lot of miles now.

well you could drain and refill it no problem from the drain plug. but i would recommend dropping the pan and changing the filter why your at it.
