Magnaflow Muffler way to quiet, why
i have had the mbrp turbo back with no cat on my truck for some time now and the muffler hanger kinda rusted out, so last fall i got a muffler delete...way way loud it was cool and all but when trying to warm the truck up this winter was too much waking people up...so i got a magnaflow muffler that would bolt right up..put it on last night and it sounds like a stock truck again! why is the magnaflow so quiet? did i put it on backwards?

There is no G. There is no G. Repeat after me, THERE IS NO G!
You are used to a louder sound of a straight pipe and anything below that will seem quiet. You did after all put on a muffler.

My 5" Magnaflow was tolerable with my stacks until I went and added a new and bigger turbo and then it dang near sounded like I had no muffler at all. FREAKIN LOUD IN THE CAB MAN!!!! Took exhaust off and put my MBRP back on......nice and quiet now.....also did it for my infant daughter!

mine was quiet until I got some soot built up in it and now it's very nice. It is nice and quiet in the cab but sound very good outside the truck. I've been told that it really screams on the top end.

I have a 5" Magnaflow turbo back and it sounds great. Hardly any drone in the cab and outside it sounds great. At first it wasn't that loud but as time went on it developed this nice rumble. I get a lot of nice comments on it.

Look at Flo-Pros website for the twister Race Muffler, it has the good sound, but not overbearing. I actually had 2 on my truck at one time. Straight now and loving it.

The magnaflow mufflers do not have directional louvers in the core like MBRP. The stainless magnaflow core is perforated so flipping the muffler will not change the sound. After a few thousand miles of soot build up, my 4" magnaflow system sounds smoother and deeper.

Your Magnaflow will get louder after a few sooty miles If you have a Magnaflow system with drone, you can move the muffler as far forward as possible and the drone will just about disappear.
