Formula 1 classifies them as towing injector. You might have to watch your EGT every once in a while towing or WOT, but for everyday driving they should be a great investment. There are a lot of people out there with mach 1.6's on a stock turbo and towing with great results. You should be fine.

as far as quality goes im bouncing between BD 100hp and the mach 1.6's the bd is cheaper and i dont want a junk injector the 1.6's look really nice but I dont know if i can swing the cash. I gues i need to know out of the 2 which one has the best egt's power output smoke control and overall lasting quality

I can't comment on the BD injectors, but I have a set of Mach 1.6's in the '02; have had them in for over 100k now with no issues whatsoever. Ran them on the stock turbo for over a year (maybe two) without any EGT issues. As a matter of fact, EGT's were slightly down from the stockers, and mileage went up as well (around 1/2 to 1 mpg). I am currently running Mach 7's in the '01 and love them, but I have to say that as far as I am concerned, the Mach 1.6's are probably the best all around injector for a slightly bombed truck.

I run the M1.6's on my truck with a Smarty with a stock turbo. Excellent all around combo for daily driving and towing. Just the right amount of extra umph when pulling away from a stop and really good throttle response (at least if I am not lugging my 6 speed).

The BD100's might be a little hot for a stock turbo, and you'll wont get the power like the 1.6's

I've run just about every stick from BD. I ran a 90 HP set on a stock turbo and I could peg the pyro. I've never ran 1.6's but heard lots of good things about them. Another good tow stick is the DDP stage 3 (110HP) sticks. Low smoke, low egt's and decent power. I can pull maximum of 1200 to 1300 deg's. My fuel mileage has gone up 1-2mpg with the new DPP sticks. I run methanol/water spray for that little extra power needs. MY last dyno outting I put down a 450 rwhp

I have been running 1.6 for about a year now and wouldn't go back to stock or 275, can't comment on BD. Love the 1.6 though. No EGT issues to speak of, even towing 10.5k lbs in the Colorado mountains. Of course one can peg the pyro towing in the hills but that is why there is a driver in the cab watching the gauges.
