M & H Tming Spacer With timing bump

i have the truck in my sig and i was thinking of getting the timing spacer should i put my timing back to stock or is it ok to run with a timing bump. also what should i notice as far as performance. i just got a new job and hopefully i will be able to buy some descent injecters and a clutch to suit my driving. but will i notice a performance gain without injecters. thanks i dont know much about this spacer so any info is good. i love my timing bump so i should love this. thanks. Jonathan

I think most guys who are running the spacer have gone back to a stock setting. I think I recall Alwaysworking (M&H dude) saying he recommends reverting back to stock. But try it and see what you think.

set your timing back to stock and bump it up from there as needed

How about you spend some cash and p-pump it. That will get you where you want in the long run. With a whole lot more potential to go big!

Unless it's untaxed, then it's red.

I have the spacer, and stock injectors. When you put in the spacer do the install first, THEN return the pump to stock. It will give you a slightly better angle to get at the two screws.
I noticed the gains mostly on the highway, with the added "dynamic" travel it seems like you have to put in way less throttle input to maintain speed on small hills and stuff.

OK Guys apparently a couple of you forgot where you are posting today, keep the name calling and childish banter out of the posts or we will have to say goodbye to you.

I would just put it in, then back the timing down until the truck stops misfiring under load.

On the P-Pump thing, dynamic timing is what makes the VE a better street/strip pump. Being able to run insane timing at high RPM and not have it rattle like a Navistar at idle is awesome. And with the capability of more than 600HP, that good enough for most of us.

i am running 1 tooth advanced plus the spacer. id probably run a timing bump plus the spacer even if i was running stock injectors. something like 3/16" or less though. My opinion of course. timing seems to make my truck rev up nice.

For what? I went over this thread several times and found only sober discussion of injectors, timing advance and the like...

Correct. There was a bit of 'discussion' about the relative advantages, (or not) of P-Pumps, referring to Young Guns15's post. I made what I thought was a reasonable post, but I didn't see what else was written after mine. I'm guessing things got out of hand. Anyway, we're here to help a fellow member, and I believe we have achieved that goal!
