Smile Lowering the rear

I would like to level out my 4.5 3500 DRW 4X4 but would rather lower the rear instead of lifting the front. Of course I still would like to retain my hauling capacity. Anyone have any ideas? Would appreciate any input!

If you pull the blocks off, won't you pretty much be sitting on the overloads all the time? Seems like it would make for a bumpy ride.....

Don't know if '07 is different.Use the search function to get more info and input by those who have already done theirs.I haven't done mine but would expect it to ride firmer/stiffer empty.Loaded is on the helpers anyway,so I wouldn't expect to feel any difference there.

Nodifference in ride. All you do is pull out or move the spacer blocks. Here is a link that shows you exactly how do it.

http://www.klenger.net/dodge/lowerin...d/slide01.html

I did my '04 two or three years ago to make it easier to load the Harley in the back. Just moved the spacer blocks just like Ken shows on his website. It took NO parts at all. I reused the spring center bolts as well as the U bolts. I did put Firestone air bags on it later to accomodate the tongue weight when pulling my 24' enclosed car trailer.

When lowering the rear, would you want to trim the factory bump stops, or would this negatively impact the shocks?

Guess you didn't click on the link I posted above. Lots of pictures there. Take a look.

I didn't trim anything when I did my '04. Lots of room. Not needed.

We moved my rear blocks to the top when I removed the leveling kit about a year and a half ago. Done the http://www.klenger.net/dodge/lowerin...d/slide01.html way. Wanted it to look leveled at stock front height. No issues with mine.

Sorry, should have been more clear. I would like to see pics of a truck that this has been done to. I like the street truck look more. Need a 4x4 for the snow.
