lowering my 03 2wd dually?
I was wondering what you guys thought about ways to lower the rear end of my 03 2wd dually. The front is already lowered 4 inches and I want the rear to sit a little lower then it already does. I do not haul a lot, but do haul a few rock crawlers in the winter as well as a few boats in the summer. Other then that, not much towing at all.
What are some ways to go about doing this? shackles? bags? let me know what you have in mind!
Here is how it sits right now (the wheels are now gloss black):
Thanks for the help! I am trying to keep "cheap" in mind as well.

The 2wd needs all the travel it has in the rear - which isn't very much. Mine has bags and I tried taking out the bottom OL to lower it a bit for my 5er and had bottoming out problems (even empty) and had to put them back in but only after I cut the ends off. I think it was actually the bags bottoming - squashing together. I guess you could take out the bottom OLs but don't use bags but what a way to screw up a truck!! Craig

Thanks for the help. I think what I am looking into doing is taking out a leaf or two as well as the OL springs. Adding overload bags (as I already have a compressor from the pac) as well as traction bars. Hopefully this will give me the look/stance I am looking for.

I am trying to do this the cheap way. I would really like to use shackles but I am having a hard time finding some? Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!

Check with You Da Man. He installed 2" drop shackles on a Mega Cab.

I could make some I really just don't have the time/place here at school. My buddy back home in Asheville was going to install them for me while I am at school. If I can't find any, maybe I will look to him for making some.
I will check with You Da Man and see what he has to say!
Thanks for all the help!

I think I am going to leave the suspension alone for now after thinking about it a while. If I do anything at all, it will be done the right way...bags and 4 link...but that would be a long time from now!
