lowered dually

Has anyone here lowered a dually? I had bought my truck to put it to work, but I don't use it for much just cruise. I am really thinking of putting 22s or 24s and slamming it. I saw a 05 dually online and looked very cool.

It all depends what setup you are talking about. 22" big rig style or 22" low pro style. Is your truck 2wd or 4x4 ?

I run 19.5's on mine. I lowered the rear with a Kelderman kit so it sits level. I wouldn't mind taking another inch out of the front, but being 2wd it already sits pretty close to the factory bump stop on the front arm.

I did. I have an 08 dually stock but wanted to lower it a bit because of clearance for my fifth wheel. I only moved two spaces as that was the minimum I needed and I was afraid if I moved them all the change in attitude might bother the drive train. Same procedure everyone was using, like on my 04 2500

are you saying "you took out two "SPACERS"? I want to lower my back end but didn't know if it could be done...

Yes, you can move the spacers to the opposite side of axle. I only wanted to move two of them so I asked the dealer to do it before I picked the truck up. For me it makes a big difference because it gives me a little more space between the top of box and underside of the fiver. This was done exactly the same way on my 08 dually as it was on my 04.5 2500. I have 17,000 km on it and a lot of heavy towing and it has worked fine. This is the same procedure that was used widely a few years ago and I think it was posted on this site, complete with pictures.

Put Bremen boards on it and it will look lowered without the problems, especially if you are towing.

Airbagit.com has a 4 or 6" axle flip kit.
