May not be unsual for light to blink on under full throttle and stock lift pump system. The Pressure switch may close at 4 - 5 psi.

I have been dealing with this also for the last couple of days. Seems like it has been getting worse. I replaced my lift pump and VP44 a couple of months ago and installed a "idiot" light when I did it, but here lately I have noticed it has been blinking a bit more. I changed the fuel filter and it still was doing the same thing. I remembered I had a smal fuel pressure guage for my race car, so I decided to rig it up today and take it for a spin to see exactly what it was doing.
I have 13 psi at idle, 11 @ 60-65 mph, and 5.5 at WOT. I also run an Edge EZ and I am expecting the Edge Juice with Attitude this week. The light would come on just while cruising, so I am pretty sure the sending unit may be off in it's calibration. To make a long story short, you may want to put a cheap FP guage on it to check it. I used some brass fittings I had laying around the shop and some copper tubing and just ran the guage out of the cowl and set it right beside the mirror. Looks redneck, but it told me what I wanted to know.
