Low Power, Low Boost

Okay ladys and gents. I need some input from ya.

The truck is lost its grunt. Under hard acceleration, it fights to go faster between 2000 and 2500 rpm. Just softly jerks till it gets there. I had a Quad box on so i took it off thinking it was the problem. No dice. Still the same.

I was building about 32 pounds of boost and now i struggle to get 20. I had a boost fooler on and took it off to see where i get stock and 20 is max when pushed hard.

So im thinking MAP sensor?! Is there a way to sest it? Which wires to test and voltage readings or what not?

Any other ideas?

I just put on a 4" MBRP 24" muffler but i noticed the problem before i did that.

This truck used to put you in your seat when pushed hard but now my face is stuck to the stearing wheel.

Another note, I had a cheap fuel pressure gauge setup but the rattle of the motor keeps killing the sender so i unhooked that too. So i dont know what the pressure is there. Perhaps i should get on that.

Thanks for the help folks.

Sorry to hear it, and I hope someone can help you with this. I sure don't know what it could be. Good luck!

Start with air\fuel filters, check for codes, then get that fuel pressure sender hooked up so you can tell if the LP is good.

For the FP sender, get yourself an 18" grease gun hose to use as an isolator between sender and the CP3 and you should be good.

If you have surging it could be the FCA has given up and is sticking. Try a couple tanks of cleaner/lube to see if it changes anything.

Is it a constant 20psi now? If it is fluctuating you may want to look for a boost leak. If it is staying steady then likely not. How about the Waste gate?

Codes first. Boost hoses and waste gate would be my next check.
