Low boost prob.

I cant seem to get more than 22 lbs. of boost. I do have a boost elbow with the screw turned all the way in, smarty on level 5 but it wont go over 22 lbs.
is this normal?
What should it max out at?

did you check for leaks?

I'm hitting 32-33 pretty regularly with whats in my Sig, probably could get a little more...
Try clamping the hose from the elbow completly closed, see if youy get any more Boost...

other then that, not sure...

Needle nose vise grips on boost line to wastegate and take her for a spin. You can also apply regulated air pressure to see how your wastegate functions. I did this on my truck to see at what psi the rod would start to move and at what pressure it was fully open. With the smarty is should fuel right up to 44psi I believe as that is what the map sensor can read. With my JR on my '03 she do over 35psi. Take the mp8 off and see what happens as it would boost fool I would imagine.

look for leaks @ the hose to Turbo, hose to IC both sides and hose to Intake Horn. make a soapy water solution and spray all the connections and look for bubbles...
check the bolts on the Intake Horn...
