Low boost fueling TST/MP-8

By hooking the mp-8 up first that should trick the tst into thinking there is more boost than there really is right? If thats true shouldnt the r49 read higher boost pressures earlier than a mechanical gauge, then everything should even off as actual boost increases? I called ts this morning but they said that is not the case? Im kinda confused, all along my tst and my mechanical gauge have read the same, but I thought that the tst should read higher, that way it will fuel sooner. I think i read some where that questad said that his tst reads 12 or so psi higher than the mechanical gauge does. What do you guys think? Thanks Joel

If using an MP8, remember you can't use the TST rail gauge.

no...you can use your tst rail guge if it is hooked up first....

You wan the MP-8 map connection on the OEM sensor first...then the TST. The TST boost guage will be all that is skewed.

Yah I guess that should work if the tst rail plug is into the oem plug, then the mp-8 into the tst rail then the oem male into the mp-8. Cquestad does your tst read higher boost then your mechanical gauge at low boost. I thought i read somewhere that you said yours did but I cant remember. But if the mp-8is working it should make the tst think there is more boost than there really is therefore allowing the tst it to fuel sooner and the r49 remote should read the psi it sees from the mp-8 which should be higher than actual pressure. Is that correct? If it is I dont think my mp-8 is fooling the tst because my r49 remote reads the same as my mechanical gauge all the time.

It will fool the TST into thinkinh there is more boost...but it is really minor and quick...and when the pedal is stabbed.

Mine will read up to 3-4 psi higher. It is harder to notice with something that is quick spooling anyways...easier on a A5k. LOL.

You should be able to feel the difference depending on which way the order goes at the MAP sensor...if all the other settigns are left the same.

Ok yah I can feel a difference, I was just wondering if there should be an even bigger difference, since its really hard to notice a difference in boost pressures. Thanks
