When my 97 12v sits for a week or more and I start it up , it blows a lot of white / brown smoke for a min. then clears up , the question is why?????

Yes I agree Bullet but what is odd , if it only sits for a day or two it doesn't do it only if its a week or more. And the truck is just as cold after a day or two as it after a week of sitting.

I didn't drive my truck for about 5 days, and started it this morning to move it by the garage to do the KDP fix, and it had that smoke... my neighbor said it's normal on warm up. But now i'm sitting here stuck without a 15mm socket to take off the damper in the middle of fixing the KDP, and noone is around that has a 15mm.... :-( ....I might start going door to door to ask if anyone has one, lol.
