Lost some low end??
Ok some history on the truck.. '05 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9L 2wd with a auto with 65K on the odometer. Tranny went out about 3 months ago less than 5K miles on it. About 5 or 6 weeks driving down the highway and blew the #4 injector line. Then the truck sat at the dealerships for about 2.5 weeks since the part was on backorder. I am running a bully dog triple dog with crazy larry. This thing has always smoked decent when really taking off and then when I get about 45 and lug the motor it would REALLY smoke.. Well after the new tranny it didnt smoke quit as much taking off but could still lug it and it would smoke. After the injector line was replace didnt really notice a difference then either. But over the past fews day I notice it doesnt smoke when taking off. When I really get on it, it does a little bit and then when I lug it at about 45 and doesnt smoke no where near as much as it did. And I have seemed to of lost some low end power. The motor seems to be a bit louder than normal too. I did notice I can put my hand on the #1 injector line and can feel a really bad vibration/knocking. I could feel a slight vibration in #4 but that was it the rest were pretty smooth. Yall got any ideas??

tell us about the original trans, what happened to it, then the one that just crapped out on you and what you're running now. Any built stuff or all stock? Torque converter still the original? Just wondering if your converter is going bad...
do you have any gauges? crazy larry is pretty radical from what I hear... your turbo is stock also, I assume?

The original tranny was slipping for a while and then just all of a sudden quit moving. They completely rebuilt it and a new torque converter. Ever since I have gotten the truck back with the new tranny I have noticed that when the converter locks up it has a shutter to it if I am getting on it pretty good. I talked to my cousin who owns a tranny shop and he said that if the drum seals are not put in correctly it will cause that and the tranny probably wont last long.
Also everything else is stock other than boost fooler, cold air intake, and timing sensor.

I get on it from time to time but not like wide open all the time.. But it does stay on crazy larry all the time. Also I did pull about 5K-6K lbs yesterday and I plugged the programmer in and bumped it down to the tow/economy level and it seemed to pull fine but even pulling the trailer I didnt get any smoke... It was after I unhooked the trailer I seemed to notice the loss of power. Also this is the first time I have pulled anything since the new tranny.

You run on crazy larry all the time yet have no supporting mods and no safety net (egt gauge). I don't know what to tell you. You can't run that radical of a program using stock trans and turbo. You should not run anything over stock without an exhaust temp gauge. You could've seriously damaged something in your engine. I really don't know what to tell you. Sorry

When I run my Predator on performance or extreme, neither of which are as powerful as crazy larry, I'd get too hot too quickly. Extreme would easily hit 1600 degrees. I have no experience with CL or Bullydog. So maybe you are right. But everything I've read about it said it can get very hot with stock turbo. And that's your choking point... the turbo. It doesn't matter much what intake or what exhaust you have or not... the turbo is the restriction. Since no one else is chiming in on this thread except me and you, I want to ask you to start another thread about Crazy larry and temps that other guys have seen... then we can see if you're in the danger zone or not... I hope you aren't... just want to make sure. Start another thread.
