Loss of Power!
On my way home today I was doing about 60 mph on the highway and all of a sudden the truck started slowing down as if it was running out of fuel, however, it did not suter or misfire, it was very smooth as if I was taking my foot of the accelerator. It kept doing that even off the lights in all the gears. Does any one know what the problem may be? Help!
SOME ADDITIONAL INFO:
1. I always fill up at the same station and always full fill
2. No idiot lights came on (check engine or water)
3. I change fuel filter together with my oil, every 6000Mi
4. I have the new flash since March 2004
5. I use Stanadyne
6. The engine was running smooth when this happened
I don't want to go to the dealership yet, as they will not be able to duplicate the simptoms right away and thus fix the truck. It is under warranty.

My 03 HO auto does the same thing, but it's random, and only when I'm towing my 36' 5th wheel. Engine RPM's go to 700, no lights come on. The only way to get going again is to shut off engine and restart it. Try doing that on an interstate at 65-70mph in traffic. I check both mirrors, kick it into neutral, shut down, refire and drive away. Does it in and out of overdrive.
The dealer I bought the truck from has flashed the ECM and replaced the pedal positioning sensor. Still does it, and the computer doesn't store any error code due to the fact that I shut down and restart.
If anyone has any ideas, I'll gladly run them by the next Dodge dealer I get to. We're full time RV'ers and I kind of need the truck to move the 5th wheel.

When I was warming her up this morning it stalled. Anyhow, I went to the dealrship and the only error code that came up was the lift pump. I thought that even with out the lift pump these motors run. Good thing that its covered by warranty. I also smelled raw diesel inside on the way to the dealrship. Will keep you posted on what it was.
My first thought was that it was the TPS.

So my I got my truck back today and apperantly it was the lift pump. So far it runs great. Get this though, the truck stalled on MacDonald-Cartier bridge in Ottawa and I called roadside assistance (bad mistake). They dispatched a tow truck and told me to wait for a 'Red Tow Truck' to pick me up within half hour. A 'Red Tow Truck ' came in 20 minutes and took me to my dealership. At the dealership roadside assistance calls me and askes me where I am, so I told them that I was at the dealership. They asked me how I got there, so I told them that a 'Red Tow Truck' towed me. Well get this, they told me it was the wrong 'Red Tow Truck' and they will not cover the towing ? Should we start a string on everyones DC experience? I guess that at DC we are all a vcery happy family (as long as everything is OK)

A friend of mine had the same thing happen. Get them to check the return valve for the CP3...some are faulty...it will stall or not start...the valve is probably stuck open.
You may also have a dead new lift pump...seen that before too.
