loretta lynn & portland, oregon
hello country music fans,
lived in portland, oregon in the 80's for 3 years and i like country music. i really like loretta lynn's new song "Portland, Oregon" but wonder about the guy she is singing with. he appears to be about 45 years her junior and they are hanging on and kissing each other. what gives?

I saw that today myself. I live about 100 miles from Portland in a rural area that is not too impressed with yuppie Portlad(they voted for Kerry) I thought the song was very strange for some of the reasons listed above.

I enjoyed visiting Portland ... ship pulled in there for the Rose Festival two years in a row. Goooood time !!!

The band is "The White Stripes".. His name is Jack. I think he produced that albumn. Its got some real good songs on it. "Van Lear Rose" is the name. Check it out.
