Lorenz suspension and wheels/tires questions...Help

I just bought a moto metal's wheel set, wheel size is 20x10 with a -12mm offset.
I also have put the bushwacker extend-a-fender flares and a 2.5" daystar leveling kit for now, but I'm about to buy a Lorenz 2.25 SAW kit.

My questoin is about wheel/tire fitment, I tried to put some nitto terra grappler's 325/60/20, I knew the tires were gonna rub even with the 2.5" leveling kit but not THAT much so I tried them anyways and a piece of the truck's running board and one fender flare took a dump.

Since the the Lorenz kit raises the truck 3" I'm almost sure that the 325s won't fit either so now I'm thinking 305/55/20.

I also thought about the fabtech or skyjacker systems that have bigger lift kits and keep the 325/60/20 wheels but I really was sold on the functionality and looks of the Lorenz suspension.

So my questions are:

Will the 325s nitto's fit with the Lorenz Kit?

If not, will the 305/55/20 tires fit ok or is it gonna rub anyways with the Lorenz kit?

Any other suspension recomendations?

Please help.

Thanks in advance.

www.thecarlisuspension.com He's got some slightly longer control arms that would push the wheels forward 1/2". Kore's got some too but their pricey. e-mail Sean with your question and ph# and he should contact you within 24hrs.

What backspacing do those wheels have?

You are probably going to have some rubbing issues.

Get rid of the wheels. Find one thats 20x8.5-9 with 5.5-6" of backspacing and you'll fit those tires. The wheels are you're problem.

like others have said

The wheels are the problem.
Your tire size is only a ~35x12.5x20. Not a big deal for a leveling kit or Lorenz suspension.

Dont think the control arms will help all that much either, but I have not tried them.

Most people use a 8 or 8.5" wheel with 5.5 to 6" of backspace

The 2.25 Lorenz kit is suppose to Rock!

with that small of a lift and those wheels, you'll be lucky to clear 33's without rubbing. i can't clear my 37's on 7"s of lift with the same wheel type, except mine are 17's. that's soon to be fixed though!!

Boz nailed it. It is the wheel, the moto Metals are not the ideal backspacing, especially with a 10" wide wheel.

I've got the Lorenz Bilstien kit and I have minimal rub with 325/60/20's. My wheels are 8.5 x 20 Welds with a 5.5 inches of backspace. It's the wheels that are your problem.
