The only thng I know how to tighten is the base to the door.Remove the screw in the door panel(near the mirror) and pull the panel back, might have to pull a couple of the push fasteners loose to get enough room. There are 3 10mm nuts that hold the mirror in place.A 1/4" drive socket and rachet helps with the limited space.Be carefull not to overtighten,I did on one of my 01's and broke one of the studs out of the mirror. If its loose somewhere other than this I can't help you.The arm has some fancy push on clip that secures it to the base(Bottom or arm there is a removable round plastic insert to gain access)that I still can't figure out how to remove without breaking something.Hope this helps

I just helped a buddy with a set of the tow mirrors and what homewrecker mentioned is right on.

If it's the mirror glass itself, here's a link to the TSB with the procedure for removing the mirror glass: Trailer Towing Mirror Glass Removal Procedure

FWIW - On my last truck I had mirrors that vibrated a highway speeds, and I had planned to add blocks of foam behind the glass, one on each side, to eliminate the vibration. I never got around to trying it because I didn't know how to get the glass mirror off and didn't want to make it worse.

Good luck.
