Iam looking at a 2005 Ram 3500 Laramie and wondering what gear ratio it has along with any warranty work that has been done to it. I would appreciate any info possible.

1 open recall. H46-steering linkage

if the previous owner did not do the steering upgrade, then dont worry about the recall. it will not apply to your truck

none of this would scare me off from buying the truck. ask the dealer (if you are buying it from a dealer or the original owner) if they have any service records for the truck.

looking at it, all of the warranties expired on May 12th of this year.

dug a little deeper. The may 19th with a differential case would be a curious question to ask. why they had to replace the front diff housing. maybe it was bent from the factory or gears came apart. don't know. might ask about that.

also is the valve body for the tranny ?? never heard of that issue before

its a private sale he is second owner and not aware of any previous service records or issues, and yes differential case that is strange

That may have been changed for the typical shuttle shift. the dealer may not have had the solenoids in stock or an attacthment point was messed up and they replaced the entire valve body. I would not worry about the valve body replacement.

Thanks again cbrahs. Prob going to pull the trigger on this. For a 05 it looks in very good shape and with only 83000 km approx 55000 miles I cant ask for any better. Boy these 5.9 sure hold there value up here in Canada !!!

Don't buy it, get a duramax.

A Duramax wow you must be bright. Obviously you are a little jealous of the Cummins aren't you, otherwise you would not waste your time on this site. I sure don't find myself ever on a duramax forum.
If I wanted a duracrap I would get one. I have owned all three Dodge, GM, Ford, and I take pride in the Dodge Cummins and would never own anything else
