Thanks Infidel,
I have one in my Trk. Happy with it, Too dang cold to go out and crawl under last night to get it right (name ).
The main pt the stock box and most of the steering in your (our ) Dodge is crapola. Replace with a BBD (bigger better deal LOL )

i realize i have to get a dss but want to avoid paying $500 for a steering box that i can rebuild myself. No point of getting a dss til this box is fixed.

The DSS is made to fit the stock box, it is not a box, just a support. I have never heard of a "bigger" box. What bigger box are you talking about? If the DSS will fit it it may be something of interest to me because I have the DSS.
I hear of lots of people going with a 3 turn box from NAPA. It seems after market
box's are getting hard to find though.
Thanks
Cory

Well..it is real dark here in down town Juneau..But I have a steer box in that the shaft comes out the bottom and a bearing is located there that attaches to the cross Piece...which attaches to both sides of the frame rails

then you have a DSS on there thumper.
Hows the dark treating you?
only another 10 days, and we start gaining again. Gotta love that
