Ok, I have a lot of quetions on this topic. I have a 00' cummins, my dad a 96' as well as his 98 Jetta TDI. Were a diesel family and looking to do the biodiesel. With $5/Gallon approaching we need something different. I'm looking for companies that have the processors, and were handy with plumbing if necesarry and so were willing to do with some assembly.

The big question is at what temperature is B100 no good? Living in upstate NY the temps drop to about 10*F at the lowest in the winter typically. Can we run B100 with addititves? I've even seen Biodiesel additives at my local auto parts store.

How often do we need to change filters?
What are some good kits? I saw a link to All American biodiesel on here but the link is not showing prices. Don't want to spend too much money again on a kit.

Is there any prepping necesarry for a 24 valve?

Will this hurt my VP44? I just had it replaced about 8K ago.

Thanks a lot for any input

Look at www.xtremebiodiesel.com. Also Cascade biodiesel at 503-914-6528. Look at www.fuelmeister.com.

Once you start seeing less the 50F, don't use Bio Diesel. Most additives won't help because they are formulated for diesel, not Bio-D. Filter changes are going to depend on how much junk build up is currently in your fuel system. Over time, less filter changes will be required.

I'm in the process of collecting parts to build a Bio-D processor. I'm going to do the Appleseed setup.
