looking for some help on upgrading

i've had three diesels now. this is my first dodge diesel and i love it, i have a bddl on with with the crazy larry upgrade, a 5 inch magnaflow, and an afe stage 2. what i'm wanting now is to upgrade the clutch now and then continue from there. i've been told to get rid of the bddl and go with a tst with the mp-8 stack. could i stack the mp-8 with my bddl? Or is that a bad idea. i would like to get this truck in 500 hp range, like i said i'm new to the performance side of diesel i just know the basics. with what i have now i've blown bye a few ricers but there are still a few more guys i know with them that i'm head hunting, so any advice will help thanks

you need to go the user CP at the top left and fill out your signature so we know what your truck has in it, what type it is, auto or manual, 4x or 2x...

you know those thingys....

It depends on how much you want to spend really, 500 hp is fairly easy to achieve on these 3rd gen but 600 to 700 gets a little trickier. Your right eventually you will need a clutch so you can either get it now or wait until it starts failing. I have the bddl and like it I personally don't want to stack boxes but most everyone does. So you need a fuel system a turbo injectors a clutch and you should have her nailed down.

when ever i get on it the clutch seems tp slip a little in 5th and 6th, i do alot of driving and im pretty hard on it, i bought the truck new in march and already have 25k on it. the other day i ran my buddy with basiclly the same truck and all he has is a superchip, of the line and all the way through 4th i was ahead by a good length and when we blow hit 5th he sucked me up and ended up beating my by a length 1/2. all i can figure is that my egt's got too high and the programmer shut down, my bddl should be pushing way more than his superchip, he doesnt have a exhuast intake or anything. we have ran them several times in the past and i have always smoked him. it has left me very confused

you clutch is doing the same thing as mine. vacating the premises! time for an upgrade. mine let me down while on the dyno. so the next toy will be a con ofe.

I have the truck in my sig
my buddy has the same exact mods and module, just running the stocker. he dyno'd 25 hp and 60 ftlbs more than i did, and I have a bigger/better turbo. gotta be the clutch, since it has slipped before. on the dyno graph, you can see the line spike, flatline, and start to drop way before 2600rpm.

change that clutch

If you've got the BDDL and Crazy Larry with no other goodies there is no EGT protection. You should definately get a Pyrometer and keep an eye on it. You can do some serious damage with too much EGT, and the Crazy Larry can get the temps up fast. Your problem with your friend may also be cause by gearing. If you have 4:10's for example and he has 3:73's he will have more top end but you will pull harder off the line.
