need a little help here. found a 2005 3500 drw with 23000 miles. seen that the sold date was in 12 20 04. did they have injector problems. i dont know to much about these trucks as i have a 2000 2nd gen. the truck looks like it sat for about 3 years acording to the car facts report. im looking for a good low miles 3rd gen but would like to have an 06 or early 07. any input is help full. thanks.

about 6 months ago i bought a 2005 2500 with 42K miles. 2 wheel drive

has been a good truck, i changed the fluids, it gets very good mileage and rides/drives good, even my wife likes to drive the truck.

only problem i can see, if you pull heavy weight is the auto trans, you only have the tow/haul option, so you cannot lockout overdrive on a 2005 model. Later models allow you to lockout OD or go with a manual, problem solved.

I only pull 6500# so the old dodge is nowhere near its max load limit.

05 models have 325hp and 660# of torque without the epa stuff of later models.

So far it's been a great truck.
