Looking for more reliable power

With all the mods I have listed in my signature, what can i do to get some more power?? I am not really looking to get to crazy like head studs ect. I feel that I have built the truck the right way so far by starting with gauges and a fuel system and going from there I feel like anything else I do will be quite extensive, expensive, and reduce reliability. I looked into propane but, that doesnt seem to reliable with it being hard on pistons and the head gasket. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Fuel makes power. You're probably at the end of your rope unless you want to put bigger injectors in and spring for a turbo.

Here's a cheeper way to upgrade and keep it reliable..

You have the stock HX-35 turbo right?
So upgrade to some ddp 2 or 3's and sell the 1's, And make your turbo a hybrid HX-35/40. The hybrid set up done by HTT is 1/4 the price of a hole new bigger turbo, and that will give you a little more air to go with ddp 2 or 3's while keeping it simple and not stressin anything a bunch more.

Thats what i'd do, but thats only MY .02

Otherwise yea, I'd say your about there as well.

Oh shoot my bad, skipped over yours bein manual.
Theres gotta be something you can do to get a little more air outa that HX-40. Turnbuckle the waste gate perhaps?

For me, its hard to say about the hot unlock. The idea is killer.. Its the same amount of hp as stage 5, but instead of my truck starting to defuel at 2700 rpm, the hot unlock allows you to keep fueling to 3200 rpms. Keeps the power goin up top as well as more aggressive fueling from bottom to top.

However since im stuck with this little HY-35 spinner, I cant run a full 1/4 mile on hot unlock or im afraid i'll melt down. I already hit 1500* on stage 5 on a 1/4 m run. 6 is still fun for burn outs or smokin heavy at shows though.

Once I upgrade turbo It'll be awesome I do believe.
IMO, worth the 100$ to have it ready if ya ever wanna use it.

HX40 did not appear on that truck stock. So unless you changed it, you have an HX35.

That said, a compressor upgrade is good to about 400HP. Any more then that and the housing is far too restrictive.

01-02 auto's came with hy35, all the rest came with hx35. Might be a couple late model 00's with auto tranny that got a hy35 as well, there always seems to be an exception to the rule.

I have never seen an earlier truck with an HY, but that sure does not mean some squeaked in!

thanks for clearing that up. It just goes to show how little I know about turbos. Shoot never really looked to id it just checked for signs of wear. Would it be possible to run some twins like a hybrid on top with a s-300 on the bottom with out going crazy? Such as studs, clutch ect

Anything is possible, but is the juice worth the squeeze?

Usually, you are better off with a slightly larger frame primary depending on the intended use and fueling level of the truck.

Lots of options out there!

what do you mean a large frame primary? What would you suggest? I just want that little bit of extra umph and a fast spool.
