Looking for input on exhaust

I'm going to do some mods to my exhaust. My first thought is the cheap way. Anybody know where to get a 4-3" reducer? I can toss the CAT, put in a reducer (OK, increaser) and a piece of 4" to the muffler, and have a cheap upgrade. I've been watching for a 4" headpipe, but all I've seen so far is complete systems. All I need is turbo to muffler.
2nd question: How close to the firewall is the 4" headpipe? The 3" almost touches. It's called a firewall, but I don't want it to become a FIRE!!!wall. Do the 4" pipes have a different bend to give clearance at the firewall? TIA! ;D

I think I would just save your money, and when you can afford to do it right, then do. Or maybe you will just leave it alone, and spend the money elsewhere

If you are at all handy with tools, do-it-yourself install of a reall good system is economical. I did mine and am VERY happy with it. Call Rip at Source Automotive to see if he can get you set up.

Re:Looking for input on exhaust

Does any one know where I can get a 3"-4" expander? I'm gonna put my old 4" muffler on my mom's Dmax and I need those two fitting to allow it to fit. Thanks.

http://www.airflo.com/ Honest, I don't work for them. I did get my 4" turndown tip and the bits for my intake duct there, though.

Re:Looking for input on exhaust

I think big exhaust.com has them, when I was looking aroud for a sysytem, I came accross a place that sold all sorts of parts like that. They had the reducers, hanger, flanges. If that is not the right addy, sorry, but i'll look around for you and see if I can come accross it again.
