I need a monitor that reads Trans temp on my 06. I really want the best one avail and I hear conflicting stories/reviews. The Edge Insight looks good on paper but the screen seems outdated and a buddy of mine had three failures in year due to heat in the cab of his truck in the summer.
What is the best monitor out there? Monitor only! I have a Smarty Jr and that is as much tuning as I need, I just want to keep track of things, especially the Trans temp since I have already had to do one rebuild...

Are you stuck on getting a monitor? Not considering analog gauges? I have the commander on my truck and I do not really like it. Mine is an older model, so the new commander, or scout whatever its called, might be better. Just my two cents.

I guess it is bang for the buck, I would need 20 gauges to get the same data from analog gauges. The monitor is also easier to install.

Yeah I hear ya there. The only reason I have digital gauges in my truck is the price and they are easy to install.

I am a little out of the loop with the latest digital gauges. Someone else will chime in.

I am sure glad that I didn't give in and order the Edge Insight now. I kept p the research and found out that Edge will be upgrading their entire line with a CS/CTS option. Color Screen and Color Touch Screen. I would have kicked myself if I had ordered now!

wait for the price of the Diablosport Trinity to go down and go with that, by far one of the best monitors on the market. i was over at Diablosport last week and saw one installed on a 05 and it is sick.
