howdy. like the title says, i'm looking at a 98.5 and i really don't know much about these things. took it for a test drive today though. hooked up fuel and oil pressure gauges before hand. at idle, she was pushing a whopping 3psi on the fp. under VERY light acceleration it went down to zero. that and the nv4500 not shifting to well were the only problems i could find with it. don't know if i had the fp gauge plumbed to the correct fitting though. since it's a time constrained issue i won't post pics here, but this (http://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136389) is a link to my thread on tdr with pics. the asking price is 15,500. which includes the "4 wheel camper" pop up, which the owner said cost him 13k new a few years ago. it's got a 53 block too:( . only 149k on the odometer though. anyway, i'd love to hear what you guys think. thanks in advance.

I have a 98.5 and hate it. been a constant strain on the wallet. I have 340,000 miles on it and its on the third lift pump and ip. Other than that pretty decent truck, if you really want a good truck get anything from 94-pre 98.5 12vavles are the best have 3 of them and have well over 300,000 on them as well.
